I liked the whole caged animal approach in these. I went ahead and gave it 4 stars because of rounding, but although I enjoyed reading it, I doubt I will re-read it in the future. It just wasn't complex enough to lure me back. Some typos, mild spice, fated-ish fantasy vanilla and poly romance w/some M/M in 1 story, swords cross.

Book 1 Stolen and Forgiven
Stolen (Holden and Ariel story)
Years ago a virus called Verona wiped out many humans at that time shifter came out of hiding with a cure. Wolves were locked up and rights taken away.
Holden is a pack alpha imprisoned by government agency SAU. While trying to deal with making his life and pack as easy as he can. The SAU torture starve and humiliate pack.
While trying to run off his frustration in wolf form he come across a almost dead body of a women.
Instantly he knows there mates and he must protect her.
Ariel is thrown over the fencing of the wolf pack to then blame them for her death but when they come to search for her body they can't find her.
Really like this story and how its laid out. I hate SAU and the way the treated the pack.
Have read previously but wanted to try audiobook because Carrie Ann Ryan has fantastic taste in narrators.
Absolutely loved this more in audiobook Aiden snow beautiful deep voice is perfect for Holden but somehow still makes the female characters sounds feminine can not wait for more in this series

Forgiven (Soren and Cora story)
There's history between Soren and Cora that you learn bits from blurb and through Holden story. Soren had to give up his true mate and love of his life to stabilise the pack, with the mating if Holden who at the time refused to mate died with no heir then Soren would become alpha but if he was single the pack would then be unbalanced and maybe become dangerous.
After Holden story because he refused to give up Ariel the punishment was to have feline pack join the in the wolf compound.
After everything Soren did Cora wasn't interested in having her heart broken again but Soren had completely different ideas. After seeing the golden pack beta Max try and talk Cora into mating Soren realised he hasn't got a lot of time to convince Cora that there perfect together.
Great story has a lot going on it such a small book. This book is a bit darker and more gritty then other Carrie Ann Ryan books usually have but I really like the change. Really looking forward to next in series and again Aiden Snow does a fantastic job bringing this book alive.

Abandoned Anya and Cole
This book carries on straight after the previous one so after Holden made his mate in to shift it they were punished by adding bears into the compound this is where and your mates Cole. I absolutely love that these two characters are very much different I love but Anya has the boys that do seem to be attached to Cole straight away in the story and I just love how it develops and everything seems to work itself out even though it is intense and stressful in the middle of the story specially when Anya realises but the boys are missing absolutely love how Cole steps up.
We also get a sneak peak of what is happening outside the compound which I really liked the twist in the story looking forward to reading more about this.

Unseen Tucker and Nicole
This story also carries on directly after the previous one which I really like that the story flows very quickly between each book.
In this one we have Tucker who helps Anya in the previous book to find her boys and is a unseen shifter which means he lives outside the compounds and hide from the SAU.
Absolutely love to Tucker Especially with the way he is portrayed in the book he is this big silent teddy bear really thought has a big heart and when Nicole comes into it he gets to express himself bar and shows that is more than just a massive polar bear.
We finally get to learn more about the SAU And the things they’ve been doing behind-the-scenes really looking forward to when these people get taken down.
Aiden Snow narrates all the books in the branded packs and I cannot say how great he is at it his first time ever listen to him being exclusive in a narrated book and not with a female narrator but he pulls it off fantastically he also does a fantastic voice for Tucker which I absolutely love cannot wait for more

Book 3 in Branded pack series Buried and Shadowed by Carrie Ann Ryan
Buried Gibson Mandy Oliver
In this book you have three love interest which makes the story very interesting specially as Gibson is a seers and Oliver start to feel all the emotions of the pack and Mandy seem as submissive in the pack so the dynamics between the three are very different to the other books which I really enjoyed love the story continued and really enjoyed the series so far hope there’s more.

Shadowed Sinclair and Mira
Sinclair is the unseen alpha and been secretly undercover in the SAU to try find evidence the it was man made and that SAU have been holding shifters against there will and torturing them.
This one is a little bit different in the series as Sinclair falls for Mira who is human and a reporter trying to find the truth about shifters.
I love how Sinclair acts around Mira. He’s struggled with his feelings but not been able to show her until she is kidnapped and he can’t deny his feelings.
Absolutely love this series and hopefully more still to come

3.5 stars. Good to have them all together for easy reading with no waiting.
Enjoyable to read the whole set at once through KU as I read book 1 many years ago.
Not a fan of this world though due to the plotline of mad doctors trying to create super humans, which has now been done to death since these first came out.
There are parts that I really enjoyed and parts that I loathed.
Likeable characters for the most part with a few idiots and trouble makers.
There is a few good things that happen which I applauded but not a complete HEA.
Probably won’t read these again though.
