For those who can actually work wonders with wood and tools, this is a terrific show-me-how book to provide our feathered brethren with unique homes. The best part of the book is the fully illustrated step-by-step section for each creation. This makes it easy to follow. In fact, it makes it look so simple, even a non-crafts person (like me) can follow along and feel productive.

My favorite was the Covered Wagon birdhouse. This seemed most appropriate for our Way West birds who have completed their long migratory route home, much as our own kind did on the Oregon Trail. I wonder if the birds will have as much fun with this as I did.
