As a self-contained course for 16-18 year olds, this text provides an effective path to A Level and Scottish Highers success in French. This is the second stage in a programme for 14-18 year olds, although it is not neccessary that students have first used Envol, the GCSE grade text, to use this advanced level one. Each unit focuses on specific study skills for advanced learning and language use. Each cover a different theme, designed to challenge and stimulate students, such as advertising, art and architecture, and regional issues, special emphasis being placed on professional life and the world of work. Pronunciation and grammar, areas that students often find difficult, are dealt with in each unit.
