Disembodied footsteps, apparitions, shadow figures, demonic attacks. These are not just the things of nightmares and horror movies. Ghostly voices, barking from an unseen dog, laughter from long ago children at play. These and more are true occurrences of the paranormal happening in some of the most ordinary places.

In this first book of the Truly Paranormal series, you will read about places in Alabama, such as the Marion Military Institute, Sloss Furnaces, the Hudson House, Jack Cole Road, and more. Interesting

I chose this book out of curiosity. These stories and similar stories intrigued me. I'd like to think I'm open minded, but I don't believe in ghosts, apparitions, etc., BUT, I'm also not going to completely rule it out. However, I'm not brave enough to explore such places myself (and have no desire to do so) - I'd much rather read about them instead.

This would be a good listing of places to research. There is not much here in the way of investigations or incidents. I did appreciate the pictures, but this could have been very good with some more information.

Basic Facts And Dates

I was hoping to be reading a book that gave creepy stories like many I have read before. That was not the case. There were lots of dates. Felt like was reading a text book. The only one really remember is Redmont Hotel which claims Hank Williams Sr ghost has been seen. One said that has Jesse James and hos girlfriend. I was bored for most of this. Maybe others will like but just wasn't for me.

This book was very interesting and educational. I never knew some of the things in the book about Alabama. I always say that you gain some knowledge from any book you read and I sure did gain a lot from reading this book. It's small but worth reading. Give it a try and see.

Simply excerpts from the internet

Sadly no real stories here, just brief blurbs picked from the internet. No research or insight into the alleged hauntings. Very disappointing.

Great read!

Various stories, about haunted places in Alabama. Homes, churches, hotels and others. There are also some photos. Added plus, as most e books, don't include them.
