'You just natter too much!' said the other gnats to Namby-Pamby, who sat singing alone on the tree.'I just do not like biting all the time. I sing, I write, that's my choice, ' said Namby-Pamby to the other three. 'But you are a gnat. You are supposed to bite. We do, ' they replied back. 'Whoever heard of a singing, talking, entertaining gnat, who lacks a very healthy appetite to bite?' Very angrily they said, 'Go do your croaking!' That's how a first-time author Noorie Ali starts her beautiful story about a Namby-Pamby who is so different from his fellow gnats that it takes him some creativity as well as some artistic carvery of the nearby leaves and flowers to persuade his friends that music is a powerful art which should always be part of everyone's life.
