We are meant to be hope-filled people, says noted spiritual writer and Living Faith contributor Joyce Rupp, but how do we keep an enduring sense of hope in a society where divisiveness and hostility doggedly work against it? In this beautiful and profound book, Rupp helps us follow the only path that leads to real the path of building our relationship with the Holy One who dwells within us. Based on the seasons of the liturgical year, and suffused with real-life wisdom, Joyce Rupp s Constant Hope will be an invaluable companion on your journey of faith, leading you to the One who has been encouraging and wooing you to enter more fully into relationship, and helping you respond in hope and joy to the love that God constantly offers.

This was the summer of Rupp. I couldn’t get enough of her books. This was a favorite. Each story and scripture passage spoke to me. This is the perfect book to practice lectio or to read before contemplative prayer. It helped me to regain hope to step back into my classroom and teach this week after a horrendous year last year. It gave me hope that things will be better this year and God is with me. My most profound take away is this quote, “The voice of God is often going toward where the greatest peace lies among the possible options.”
In these times of COVID 19, Racism and Black Lives Matter and Climate crisis it is good to remember where our hope lies and that our hope is not in vain. Rupp uplifts our spirits with meditaitons based on solid hope in the God of our universe.
