Full review soon: both informative and problematic.

Freedom of the press and investigative journalism is crucial in society. That’s not the problem with this book.

The double standard that lauds the Panama Papers leaks (collaborative exposure by international teams of journalists) and then condemns WikiLeaks (fronted by Julian Assange) shows that the Establishment/Independent divide remains as stark as ever.

Also, the publication declares debunked exclusives as fact, such as the false corruption scandal against Lula which led to his imprisonment and installed the Fascist Bolsonaro in Brazil as his successor.

There’s some fascinating chapters, but the narrative that this work remains that ‘the Centre must hold’ even at the expense of accuracy, integrity, ethics, law and due diligence.
