Organize or Die: Business, Marketing and Communication Strategies for Labor Leaders, Agents and Organizers

Rate this book
This book proposes an innovative labor-magagement approach for union leaders, agents, and organizers utilizing cooperation and mutual interest. With frank and compelling style, it emphasizes using top-down organizing, marketing, and business development strategies up to, and including, closing the sale on non-union employers to re-energize organizing efforts. In today's market where harsh economic and political realities are determined by price, performance, and results, this nontradional book challenges organized labor to recapture lost market share and bring meaningful percentages back to the unionized sector.

Very important reading for labor leaders in the 21st Century as we shift into a high gear of cooperation, and mutual interest. It is the only way to get things done in a win-win way.

I enjoyed reading The Management S.O.B. The wolf in wolf's clothing. (I know there are many types like this still in-play today).

The author gives some great advice and strategies to remind Union leaders to conduct themselves as professional labor representatives in the business world.

Gone, should be the days of salting, arm twisting, or butt chewing. Conducting business in a hostile manner will drop your odds of achieving goals to one in a thousand.

The Union is a business too, with extensive resources, product lines, and massive organizations across the world. Read this book and get a lesson and/or wake-up call.

The employer is NECESSARY: He is your Golden Goose so don't wring his neck or try reaching up his a** for "golden eggs" on demand.

Wow! This book is packed with all kinds of very informative information and perspectives. IT SHOULD BE IN EVERY LABOR LEADER'S PERSONAL DEVELOPMENT LIBRARY. NOW!
