Outstanding MC romance! Danger, suspense and the healing power of UNCONDITIONAL LOVE! MUST-BUY!
I love the MC tales written by author Melissa Devenport. They are wild, full of danger and suspense and each one is so completely different from the last, I await each new novel with bated breath. However, Devenport’s novels do have a few things in common. They are phenomenally well written, the characters are richly developed, and Devenport’s descriptive prose pulls readers into her stories. The only drawback I can see is that her novels, like “DAMON”, are nearly impossible to step away from once started. In “DAMON,” Devenport has written a novel, a sensitive tale, of two adults just trying to stay alive. Damon Campbell, who survived on the streets from an early age was looking for worth by patching into the Serpents and Scythes MC. His assignment to earn that patch: murder the daughter of the club’s ex VP. The man who, along with his wife, had just been brutally put to ground for trying to abandon a lifetime commitment. The problem was Damon knew this young lady, had spoken with her a time or two, and he saw no reason for the club to break its own rules and kill an innocent. Kirstin Sinclair grew up the daughter of an MC leader. She loved her father and mother but knew she would be next when her mother told her to run. With her preparations made and just moment before walking out of her childhood home to run, Kirstin saw Damon, the prospect she had spoken with a time or two and thought was cute, coming to her door. She was ready . . . or was she? While their start is tempestuous, there is that promised HEA to remember! However, what happens between Damon’s knock on Kirstin’s door and that HEA is a wild ride that romance readers WON’T WANT TO MISS! Kirstin Sinclair grew up in the club, so she knows the deal. But it's not part of the deal to kill biker brothers or their families. But they did kill Kirstin's parents, and now Damon has been tasked with killing Kirstin. He wants to be in the MC, but he doesn't do killing. So he has a plan to just spirit her away and say he did the deed. But, it's not that simple. These two, killer and killee, find they have a connection far greater than the MC and life itself. Damon is sex on a stick and just wants to belong, to something or somebody. Kirsten just wants to live and avoid a death like her parents'. Can they get away? Will either one live to see tomorrow? An exciting and gritty story, as good as any of Ms. Devenport's previous biker novels!

Wow. Melissa Devenport has flexed her “author-ity” once again by presenting her legion of fans with another great story in this amazing series. Damon brings the heat, just as his other MC brothers did. He’s rugged, strong, smart, tough, and loyal. He may have had a crummy childhood and no family to speak of (other than those he considered brothers in bike clubs), but he’s got a highly established set of morals. His morals might not follow all the laws of the government, but one thing is clear—murdering the family members of MC brothers, even if the brother has gone bad, is strictly off limits. This is how Damon meets Kirstin.
Kirstin is the daughter of the club VP, who was targeted and killed by the Prez. She’s got a target on her back now, and Damon’s been sent to take care of her. While Kirstin was not ignorant of the life her father lived, she was a bit naïve about how it all worked. She didn’t live in that world because her father shielded her from it. But Kirstin’s world has now shifted in a heartbeat: she has no more family and the president of the MC wants her dead. The only one apparently on her side is the guy sent to kill her…as if he can be trusted.
The author’s style shines through as usual in this fast-paced tale. The characters are finely honed and well crafted. The passion between Damon and Kirstin is white hot and fabulously satisfying. As expected in a novel about a motorcycle club, adult situations and language do occur throughout the story line, but not in overwhelming amounts. This is mostly a story about a man that overcomes really nasty circumstances not just once, but several times, in an effort to live the way he believes he should and to relentlessly pursue his dream. It’s also about a woman who overcomes soul crushing obstacles to reinvent herself against all odds.

**Full Disclosure – I am on the author’s ARC team, and received a copy of Damon: A Motorcycle Club Romance (Lonely Rider MC Book 4) for free. There may be some slight differences between the ARC and the released book.**
Damon: A Motorcycle Club Romance follows the same pattern as the previous three books in the series. Bad boy prospect from a MC needs to take the girl of his dreams and flee because the president of the club wants her dead. The plot is a bit forced and felt a little railroaded, but sets up the story quickly without a lot of build up bogging the story down.
Sex occurs rather quickly between the two MCs and is not safe. As Damon: A Motorcycle Club Romance is a romantic fantasy I was pleased about the lack of safe sex although some readers might not appreciate the lack of safe sex.
The author does a good job mixing up some suspense and action. I like how the romance played out, as it was not cookie-cutter perfect with everything falling into place as if by magic. I also like how the woman was able to save and defend herself. Damon: A Motorcycle Club Romance does not follow the “damsel in distress” trope which I appreciated.
I was not sure until the very end of the book if this was going to be a HEA or not. I prefer a traditional HEA in the romances I read and I believe the redeeming value of love. I also believe that love can conquer anything as I am an old romantic. Damon: A Motorcycle Club Romance does not disappoint, but it will keep you guessing until the end.
I look forward to the next ARC from the author, whether it is another MC romance or not.

Mrs. Melissa Devenport's talent knows no end. I, personally, have a weakness for MC romances and Mrs. Devenport has certainly entertained me time and again with her publications. Looking at all Melissa has accomplished in creating this series is truly amazing. I found Damon to be a quick read, however, this incredible release is truly a page-turner; as the storyline is riveting and the characters are perfectly matched and just meant to be together... All they have to do is come out alive.
Damon Campbell, prospect for The Serpents and Scythes MC. Gorgeous and has a heart of gold buried inside himself, hidden away from the world that has done him so wrong. But Kirstin Sinclair... Damon ... wild, exciting & incredibly hot
Just when I thought Melissa Devenport couldn't up the intensity of her MC series, she was certainly able to prove me wrong!!!! DAMON was absolutely superb, intense, wild, exciting and incredibly HOT!!!

Definitely getting better and better than the last book and it was good too. Even more action and of course it had all the naughty bits...lol
This is Damon and Kristin's book. Damon was part of the gang just as all the other men in this series but not much was said about that crew this time. We just know that he too lived and grew up on the streets. Now he is a prospect for another MC.
Kristin's father was the VP from his club and he and her mother always protected her but taught her how to take care of herself. He taught her how to shoot and how to use a knife. Even how to swim.
When something happens she is forced to go on the run just as Damon was sent to kill her in order to get to be a full member but he is not a murderer. He too goes on the run to help save her. These two go to a lot just to get to safety but is it ever safe when the MC has some of the best trackers?

creepy and desperate
Damon is book four in the series Lonely Rider MC by author Melissa Devenport. It all starts with a choice- good or bad - chose the path. And once that choice is made - it’s one hell of a ride!! Sometimes what we think is pure darkness is only shadow and that gives us the chance to be more. The characters in this story all get that chance- read what they do with it.

OMG Damon and Kirstin was off the hook, plus they have a connection that makes there chemistry sizzling HOT. Theres plenty of danger, suspense plus twists and turns also action pack along the way. Really good! Both characters worked well together! Kirstin was strong enough to help heal Damon even when he didn't realize he needed healing but strong enough to be "weak" for him also.

A story that is well written and with a nice storyline. A mix of drama, action, sweetness, hot chemistry, passion, strong characters and emotions. I liked they got their second chance and that she could help him.

holy cow! just as all the books in this series I just couldn't put it down. from the moment I started reading I was drawn in. I really felt like I was in this book and was right next to the characters as they went from one point to the next.

Absolutely engrossing MC Romance. The well-written storyline is filled with suspense, danger, and is one wild thrill ride with the drama, chemistry and heat level. The main characters are defined, sexy, feisty, strong, determined and have one hell of a roller coaster ride to get to the HEA. I voluntarily read an ARC and this is my honest review.
