Hi, I'm James. I'm an author. I live and work in North Devon, England.

I enjoy juxtaposing light and darkness, predominantly with humans, but also with the landscapes where their stories are told.

Key recurring elements in my stories are nature, weather, landscape, environment and the human population as an accumulative negative - I do however highlight the potential wonder and beauty of the individual human being. I'd like to think there is some hope.

An all too believable look at a post apocalyptic South West. Following three different characters, the people the encounter and the different ways in which they conduct themselves in this new world. Zero had me gripped from start to finish, with some incredibly detailed imagery bringing the whole book to life.

A very imaginative writer. A book containing symbolism, emotion and action. Some of the imagery remains long after the reading experience. A fast moving novel not just in the sense of speed of action but in the style and rhythm of the prose. A writer to look out for!
