Once more, KRS and Sal's world submerged me in an ocean of emotions. Waves after waves of darkness, and down I went, deeper and deeper into the darkness. Deeper and deeper into Sal's psyche, his loneliness and doubts.
"The blackness courses through my veins and radiates with a pure hate."
I took my time reading, savoring, absorbing TAT2, and its emotional rollercoaster. It's a psychological journey I'm not going to forget anytime soon.
Sal addresses the reader, and you'll have no other choice than to surrender to the ruthlessness of the situation and of the intricate storyline.
The jaw-dropping (and sometimes nauseating) revelations, the unexpected turns of events gripped me to no end.
Strategies, lies, manipulation and deceit will make you reconsider the alliances, friendships and family Sal has taken years to build. Who to trust when you are locked up and facing that madening whirlwind?
Deacon offered an amazing and much needed breather, through amazingly sexy scenes. What struck me was the passion and intimacy they shared. Their bromance is one that will ignite your panties and warm your heart. Their connection is undeniable, raw and beautiful.
“I asked him to kneel,” I reminisce, smiling . “And he did. I hit rock bottom , and he keeps marching.”
I fought along with Sal, hurt for him when the choices he made only seemed to lead to more issues, challenges and heartache. The distance, despair, rage, his vulnerabiltily, determination and love for Iris and Deacon were palpable.
Analyzing what love his, what and who he is, the psychological and (physical) transformation of Sal begins. Oh, how proud of him I was!
"Remember, I’m bad. Remember, I play."
And when he assumes his role, his decisions, takes his life in hand, Sal is one perfectly imperfect character I keep admiring. Correction, his complex and so endearing, fascinating persona makes of him my favorite anti-hero.
"My name is Lucas Salvatore Raniero and crime is in my fucking DNA. Live it. Breathe it. Sleep it. Love it, hate it, own it; It’s mine."

“I’ll see you on the other side. Remember to chase the butterflies.”
Holy cannoli this book took me on one helluva ride!!! Where do I even begin...there is so much that happens in FLW but I don’t want to spoil anything so I’ll just say that knowing Sal is behind bars and actually witnessing it are two totally different things. Watching him mature and grow is truly breathtaking.

Wow! Just wow! My heart is still racing! I could feel the emotions of the author pouring through the pages deep into my heart! The lonliness, insecurity, love and pain. Tomb of Ashen Tears is her best series yet!

Sal doesn't know what to do. He has placed himself in prison and now he is all on his own without the influence of others. No friends. No lovers. Only enemies.
When you are put into a hostile environment not knowing anyone or what situations could arise. You could be someone's pretty boy bending over or a knife in your back. Now Sal has to think with the brain in his head. Not the one dangling between his legs.
So many answers to questions. As the pieces of the puzzle are slowly falling into place he is seeing a bigger picture of what is to come.
So many unexpected twists and turns that blew my mind!
I strongly recommend this series or any books by this author!

Oh my gosh oh my gosh oh my gosh I'm lost for words!!!!!! What a book!!!!! This book left me with my heart still pounding and my mind blown away.
Kailee never fails to grab you and suck you in to a book, everytime I can feel what they are feeling and to me an author has never done that to me before (Kailee is my unicorn author always have love heart eyes for this lady). Sal has been through a lot in his time and this book he just doesn't know what to do with it all. So many questions get answered everything starts to fall in to place you need to read TOA book 1 to get the flow of this book.
All the characters we know and love are back in this book as well as some new faces. I just love love love Deacon as many others do there is just something about him and you can understand why Sal loves him too. But boy oh boy is Sal my main man I have a love/hate relationship with him.
With each book that's Kailee writes and this was a BIG book!! She never looses momentum and you always get the flow of the story and characters. I urge you to start reading about Sal and his merry misfits you won't be disappointed 💜

This man. This Unholy God of a man keeps me on my toes like no other. He. IS EVERTYTHING. I can honestly say I was scared of the emotional turmoil this bad boy was going to cause. I can also say I've laughed harder than I have in a long a** time. I've also screamed and cried and went through a couple stages of grief while reading. I was kept on my toes. Falling off the edge of my seat and fighting myself to remember this isn't real. The pain will cease. Breathe. But honestly screw that. Because at this point, this is real. This story is so all consuming that I cant wait for my next fix for every question answered (and there are many) I have 15 more, whosits, whatsits, howsits... I need all the answers and then I need more questions so they too can be answered. K always brings it when it comes to her writing and FLW was no exception the words come off the page and flow so f***ing divinely! Sal grows up a lot. And it was such a raw, gut wrenching, and yet beautiful experience!!

Oh good lord where do I start this review? Should I talk about the very impressive writing talent of Kailee Reese Samuels? Should I expound on her incredible characters and story building? Should I explain her amazing ability to create worlds of both darkness and light that draw you in like an ethereal magnet or should I warn readers that this author will take them on an all-encompassing, thoroughly entertaining, yet emotionally charged journey? Well, consider yourselves warned...
This is the continuing story of Sal Raniero, my sigh-worthy, utterly delicious hero. But here, in this story, is Sal tested in every possible way. He’s vulnerable but strong, alone and stressed beyond endurance, but oh my god so brave and resolute. Being able to love despite so many challenges not to. The revelations in this book were amazing and the new characters were just wonderful.
I don’t know how you do it, Kailee. There are few authors that meet your standards of excellence. Whenever I pick up one of your books, I know that I’m going on a journey of a unique character and that I’m going to experience and be exposed to such wonderful inventions that the book will stay with me for quite a while after I read its last sentence. Thank you, Ms. Samuels, yet again.

I’m blown away by this story. Utterly speechless right now. My emotions and jaw dropping have reached a new level with Sal and all the revelations coming to light. Just when you begin to think you have something figured out there are more twists and turns you didn’t see coming. A beautifully twisted read mixed with suspense that keeps you turning the pages needing all the answers. I need more and cannot wait for her next book.

I highly recommend that you read Juliet and Salt Kissed Love before reading this book. People read these books in all kinds of order. I know that I have but this one is best read after you have read the other two. Trust me they are amazing and your going to love them. Kailee Reese Samuels doesnt do short books either so you have plenty of time to spend with these character's, especially Sal. I don't think there is anyone who doesn't love Sal for one reason or another. Now one to the rollercoaster of mind blowing goodness that is this book. Holy cow I could not put this thing down. I have read and read and loved every second that I got to spend in Famous Last Words. To say that Sal is one complex character just might be a understatement and if you have read about him you know that it is just about pointless to try and guess anything that is going on with him. This book is full of twists and turn and just when you think you have them figured out then bam something happens that throws you off all you thought you had figured out. I swear too this book plays like a movie in your head and you just forget that the real world exists. Just trust me and grab this book. Your going to be like me and the first thing of Kailee Reese Samuel's you read will have you hook on her hard. I love how she writes her books and the mind blowing things she puts me through. Run grab this and make sure you buckle up. It's gonna be a bumpy ride to say the least.

I've waited non-to-patiently for this book, and OMG what a book!!! All KRS's books stay with you and bring out such emotions, but this book.... Sal and Iris make decisions to keep each other safe, but at what cost, possibly his sanity. There is NO doubt even when they are with others that each is the others true obsession and love. Some of our favorite characters are present; Deacon the one we all love, including Sal, Trudy, damn I love her!! Amber, Bertie and one of my new obsessions, Nico, along with many more and new characters that I hope will continue in the 3rd installment. This psychological book contains so much lies, betrayal, dispair, anger and even hate that it can be hard to read at times. I promise you will hurt and cry, laugh at the things that come out of come of their mouths..lol, and fall into absolute lust for some and love for others, there are some seriously scorching hot scenes that had me running for the shower! Some questions were answered, but new ones have come out, so many are keeping secrets, Sal included and you wonder what will be left of everyone when they all come to light. Some still don't care for Iris, but as some know, I do... I've always thought they should be together that no matter how some see her betraying him, she's trying to save him and Sal is doing the same. Once again Ms. Samuels has woven a tail that draws you in her web, and I personally will stay there till the end, her writing ability is like no other, how do you write so many books with Sal at the helm and even in her standalones he's there and keep the readers on the toes and begging for more? You pick up any book from KRS/KS and let the poetic words flow through you, you feel everything as if you were there on those pages. Absolutely brilliant job with the follow up of Salt Kissed Loved!

Ms. Samuels has given us another intense, emotional, roller coaster ride, that we will not be forgetting anytime soon. I laughed out loud & got many strange looks, I teared up many, many, times. I truly Love Sal!
In this we get the continuation of the story from Salt Kiss Love. So many things are revealed. This is told primarily from Sal’s POV but we do get a few side characters as well as a few added scenes from other books that help place the time line together. I loved seeing the vulnerability in Sal along with his strengths.
“ I’m done living for everyone else. It’s time to be selfish. It’s time to be a b@st@#d. It’s time to be a Ranerio.”
I want to say Thank You Ms. Samuels for always giving us a story that grips & sucks you in with these incredible characters. I can’t wait to see what else you have in store for the world of Juliet & Sal.

Holy F...
Probably an appropriate title with Deacon Saint so involved.
Sal loses his way for a bit; although he has a pretty good excuse. I am not used to him miscalculating so badly, but there are reasons. And I would not say there are twists, more like unexpected detours that send you driving an extreme Jeep down the side of a cliff, and hoping like hell a rockslide doesn't bury you. And you can find a way back out/up.

I had to take a day to process everything I was feeling after reading this, and I still feel like I can't come up with an adequate review. As other reviewers are saying, wow.

I still have to say, I don't love Iris. I don't think she's good for Sal, but she is who Sal wants, so we go with it because we support true love. I feel that so much more was revealed about Deacon, and his place in Sal's world was cemented because of his loyalty, because of who he is, because he's good for Sal. There's a level of intimacy between the two that is incredibly rare and so inspiring. It's helped to cement for Sal the acceptance of who he is.
Sal's mountain is crumbling and he needs to pick up the pieces and try to make it as whole as he possibly can, which is hard to do when he's voluntarily put himself in prison. I found myself making a list of who needed to go, and the list is long. When Sal starts working on this list, it is going to get crazy, so we have something incredible to look forward to in the next book.
I continue to be impressed with the storyline, the directions chosen, and the depth of details in creating such intricate lives from imagination. I talk a lot about this world Kailee has created because it is an entire world unto itself. It spans a catalog of books, and to possibly be able to create a realistic world and have such a huge cast of characters, each with such specific roles, is a marvelous feat.

Ms. Samuels takes the reader on an emotional heart pounding crazy roller coaster ride.
You can feel the love she has for her characters,especially Sal come alive through her words.

Kailee Reese Samuels did a great job on Famous Last Words,, the story was written well with great characters and a strong plot that was filled with many emotions. The story will keep you on the edge of your seat. So much happened in this story, it's hard to talk about without giving anything away, so the best I can suggest is to read it. It'll take you on an emotional rollercoaster.

Wow, what can I say! This story about Lucas Salvatore (Sal) Raniero, the golden boy, the chosen one, and prince of Boston Mafia is full of surprises—you will either like him or hate him! I was flabbergasted with the unexpected revelation that happened, but it is jaw-dropping good! This dark Mafia psychological thriller is full of emotional angst; it is riveting, dark, and wicked with some steamy sex scenes that are off-the-chart hot! You NEED to READ! This story is not for the faint at heart, if you like an easy love story or an easy hero/heroine, run far as it may be hard for you to read with all the graphic details. Find out if Sal gets the person(s) he loves and what happened at the end—you will be astounded. Kailee Samuels you did it with this twisted, steamy, and disturbing dark romance with deep and troubled characters. The storyline is fluid, and you won’t regret reading this book!

Like always Kailee Reese Samuels never ceases to amaze me.
Famous Last Words is a psychological roller coaster. When I was reading I went through every possible emotion, I felt every word in this book.
In this book secrets will be reveal, in others words the suspense will leave you hook in your seat until you finish it.
We see Sal in his strongest, vulnerable and bravest moments. I suffered when he puts himself in prison.
But when we think everything is confusing, things start taking a turn.
Deacon is a very important and helpful person in Sal’s life. He gives Sal a much needed support in every possible way, that makes me fall more in love with him.
Since the first book I read of Kailee I fell totally in love with Sal. She has me hook into this world that I never want to miss any of her words.
I recommend, well I demand that people read Kailee books. You’ll never regret meeting her amazing stories.

Mind blown. Nerves shattered. Heart all over the place. This tense, detailed, plot rich book takes you through a tumultuous ride with Salvatore Raniero at his strongest, at his most vulnerable, at his most stressed out and at his bravest. There were times when I had to regroup in order to keep up with the convolutions of the plot, but began to see some of the patterns emerging for the future...the complexity of any Kailee Samuels' book can leave you breathless at her sheer, wonderful audaciousness!
Interestingly, I found myself falling even more in love with Deacon! I can so see what Sal sees in him 😊 and Kailee introduces some new, fabulous characters that just add to the reading experience...Mock, Naby, Ronnie (loved Ronnie so much!!), Moses, to name but a few.
With each book, Kailee displays her sheer love of words and ideas, one which I share, and her brain fizzes over with amazing concepts, images and descriptions. With Famous Last Words she brings us a story which sweeps through the pages with passion and a fabulous swagger to match Sal's own. The discussion generated by the quote from J Arthur Proofrock also played out throughout the book; being able to love without always liking is such a vital part of our emotional state and it plays a massive part in this book! Love it!! 💖💖💖💖

Hurts so KRS good
Where to start with FLW? My immediate reaction upon finishing the book (which is always my launching point for thorough digestion,) was "Wow. Just wow. Everything I was looking for then so much more I could never have guessed was coming!" Now that said, this was a hard, hard read as a Sal lover. The bulk of the novel we descend deeply into the concept of one's own identity, and the how the heck to discover and even build one. It feels much like a second adolescence, or you know, growing up 😉 And it hurts, and it's scary and we can mess it up SO badly. For Sal, it's all this and more. The life he's carved out to date and the goals he's set, come smashing into one another. We the reader get some much craved perspective on how we got here (and where we MAY be heading,) much of which is all too relatable, some of which is just jaw dropping "oh no he didn't!" And it hurts. BUT. It hurts KRS good. In my totally subjective and absolutely biased opinion, this was Ms Samuels' finest work to date. I feel as though I learned more about who Sal really is than I ever have before, or perhaps even met him anew. This takes genre blending to a whole new level. Even for her. I could dissect and carry on and on but my sincerest advice is to just read the darn book. 💜

Once again the Queen of the dark written words has me all befumbled. Through this whole journey she has pushed the limits of my brain. I never know what path to follow. Our favorite bad boy has grown up, he says he's a bad man but there are plenty of redeeming qualities. I'm so confused and concerned for Sal. Who can we trust (because at this point he is we) This book took Sal on a dark and twisted roller coaster ride. Impending doom, emotional turmoil, wild sex, increased heart rate, and a crazy beautiful love story is what awaits for your reading pleasure and pain. This author is so complex, she drives me crazy and then back. My mind is blown and I'm having a book hangover.

This book has been a complete mind trip. Sal is a strong character, but he's in a big mess. He's stuck in a cage but has so much that needs to be done. He has to depend on Iris. He Hopes that everything can be worked out.

I swear just when I think I have figured out what all is going on, revelations come to light that leave me once again wondering what in the heck is going on! I really shouldn't be shocked because Sal is one complex character, and, of course, this is one of the main reasons I love him so much! As always, this amazingly talented author draws you into Sal's world, so much so that the rest of the world just fades away. If you are looking for a book/series that is sure to keep you guessing from beginning to end, this is it!

Once again this author just takes my breath away. When it comes to writing a review I’m always at a loss of words. What could I possibly say about this amazing book that would do it justice? Not sure but I’ll go with it is incredible! I loved every minute of it. I couldn’t put it down and definitely won’t be forgetting it anytime soon. I’m so excited to see where the author takes readers next. Five huge stars all the way!

I dont even know were to start on this book. Wow what a roller coaster ride of darkness that will have you feeling breathless and twisted and steamy darkness. This is a heart pounding read that will have you taking your time reading this thriller story series. I just cant express enough words about this book other then you will take your time to read and feel the words flowing from each page. This story will take you deeper in to Sals mind and have you needing to have more of the story.

I always hesitate before reading stories by this author, because they come through so hard and my poor heart gets an emotion overload every time. This is one of those stories that will hold your mind and your heart hostage. You'll love every minute of it.

Wow..where do I even begin with this one! First off, if you have not read the previous books then you might be a little lost of getting the whole experience with Sal and this world. Kailee is one exceptional writer who not only has the ability to tell a story but also makes you feel a rollercoaster of emotions. All this while keeping you on the edge of your seat and completely interested in everything going on and ready to pulling your hair out wanting more, even after 22 books! Every book continues this journey with Sal giving you more questions answered and just exactly what he and others are doing and feeling. So without giving anything away I will tell you I loved this book, this whole train ride and LOVE my Sally!! This is Sal and Iris but mostly Sal in every state of emotion. You learn all about his time in jail, why he was there, and the mental effects it had on him. This is Sal in his purest rawest self and the physical and emotional toll the weigh of the world of being a Master and mafia son takes on him. The lies, deceit and betrayals from people who he thought were family and discovering who he really is and just exactly who he really loves. This is Sal like you have never seen him before and when he saids "Master....I f****d up" and "Help me, Cruz" my heart completely broke and I just fell more in love with him....I know you will too!! Kiki you keep doing you and I will continue this crazy ride with you all the way to hell and back!!😘❤❤❤

Completely mind blown after this read! This book took hold of my mind from the beginning and took me on an epic read that I felt straight to my bones. Sal is such an intense character that I loved reading about skeletons and all. This book left me with twists and turns and doubts of which character I can trust and believe. Truly an amazing read
