Insatiable (adjective): having an insatiable appetite or desire for something, especially sex.
I am Dr. Porter Kingsley. In my life, I am not easily satisfied. I have an uncontrollable need to have more. More sex, more success, more money, and definitely more control. The one thing I must control the most is commitment. I’m married to the job, and it’s a damn important one. Being the top neurosurgeon at the age of thirty is all the commitment I need. Because I’ve been down that other road before, and all it comes with is heartbreak. I’ve been relentless in my pursuit of excellence, and I give one hundred percent to everything I do. Then Dr. Kaya Hensley breezed her way into my hospital and tried to tell me what to do. She’s brash, bossy, ballsy, and beyond beautiful. But I won’t let that get to me, because she’s my competition. She’s everything I want in my bed, but not in my heart. No one puts Porter Kingsley on his heels. Kaya has different plans, but she has no idea. My desire to be number one cannot be quenched, no matter the consequences. I am insatiable.

I don’t understand my own gender. Really, I don’t! Here we have a successful doctor, who was married and has been divorced for 4 years because her husband was a huge manwhore and a cheater that fathered 2 kids with two different women, this same successful woman goes and falls for the biggest manwhore there is in this hospital, he has had threesomes with his twin brother and his friend. He sleeps with everything that walks. And he even had feelings for his sister in law, tried to go after her but she rejected him choosing his twin brother. This std walking excuse for a man felt a pull towards her when he met her briefly at a bar but that didn’t stop him from sleeping with his supposedly best friend whom he has a arraignment because they both didn’t want any commitment. Later a nurse goes to his office and tries to get him to have sex with her but he rejects her and the heroine sees this and gives him a piece of her mind, she also slut shamed this woman. And the heroine? Doesn’t want anything to do with men but falls for this POS? I’m fairly certain that she was celibate for the whole for years she’s been divorced. And while the heroine is a completely bitch to him because of what he does but she still fold like the “whores” he slept with. And she even lets him inside her body without protection.

Ironically, I reviewed book 1, Ravenous, two years ago to the day. She sure had me waiting long enough for Porter's book, but damn L.L. did NOT disappoint. Let me first say, I'm a huge Breck fan. I loved Porter's brother and devoured his book. However, Porter has since taken over as my favorite. Just like book 1, Insatiable is filled with real, honest, flawed characters who aren't afraid to own up to their actions or learn from them. Do yourself a favor and mark your calendar to one click Insatiable on May 23rd. And if you haven't yet read Ravenous, get started now. Trust me. #PorterisAMs
L.L. Collins is back, and Insatiable is a book that needs to be read!
We met Porter Kingsley in Ravenous, as the twin brother who could never be tamed, and was adverse to commitment, but in Insatiable, he has met his match in Kaya Hensley and just may change his attitude on everything he holds dear.
Porter is the playboy of the hospital, top neurosurgeon, the guy who can just look at a girl and get them to fall into his bed, and the “king” of the place. He has it all and he knows it. When he lays eyes on a mysterious woman at the bar one night after work and gets turned down immediately, he just doesn’t know what to do with himself, little does he know, she’s the new OB doc at the hospital, and when they officially meet, they definitely do not start off on the right foot. Kaya has heard all about Porter, and wants nothing to do with him. All the rumors remind her of her ex and she tries to stay clear of him, and treats him like utter crap, but the two of them keep being pushed together, and the more she gets to see a different side of him, even though she pushes him away, she realizes maybe there is more to him.
Both of these characters have pasts that make them the way they are now, and the attraction that they have to one another is undeniable, but they both have to get over a lot to even think about giving it a go. I loved watching Porter trying to figure out what was wrong with him, after he met Kaya and his talks with his brother. And the way Kaya behaved? Sure she was kind of a jerk, but at the same time, she definitely set Porter in his place time and time again, and it was amazing. She gave him a run for his money and I loved every single second of it.
Porter and Kaya’s story is very fast paced and they deal with a lot, mostly them dealing with their pasts and trying to learn how to move on from them, and becoming who they are today and figuring out how to let the past go and live in the moment now. These two challenge one another and truly are perfect for each other. I really enjoyed their back and forth and watching their relationship and friendship grow throughout this book. If you’re looking for an enemies to lovers romance, then I highly recommend Insatiable by L.L. Collins!
Wow! Where do I start with this book? It's one that will stay with you well after you've read it. Porter is a sexy commitment phone. Kaya doesnt want a man at all. When the two of them meet the sparks fly. Kaya and Porter will light up your kindle. The sexual tension and banter between the two is off the charts good! I don't give spoilers but that ending is so good I could've kept reading about them forever.
I love to read strong characters that are adequately matched. The back and forth tug of war between Porter and Kaya kept my pages turning. Loved the vulnerability shown by these charters. Loved this book!
This was my first L.L. Collins book and it was a great storyline and book! Porter is a prominent doctor who is afraid of commitment after being burned years ago. Kaya has finally moved away from her past and the stigma attached to it. When the two meet, sparks fly but Kaya is hesitant to act on it based on Porter’s reputation, but they finally get together and give into their chemistry. They continue to get to know each other and build a relationship, but when Porter’s past shows up after years away, we wonder if that will be what breaks the two apart. Overall it was a good book with great flow and length, and of course a HEA. I voluntarily read and reviewed an Advance Reader Copy of this book.
If I could give this book five thousand stars I would. It’s that phenomenal! It’s addictive, it’s unputdownable, it’s swoony, it’s hot as hell, and it’s ALL THE FEELS!!
SHE’S BACK! LL Collins has written a touching book that will have your heart so full it will feel like it will burst wide open. Insatiable is my newest favorite book of LL’s and I know everyone will agree!
I’m not going into much detail yet as it’s not out yet but TRUUST ME ON THIS: YOU ARE GOING TO FALL HARD FOR PORTER AND KAYA!!

Dr. Porter Kingsley is the star of the hospital and everyone knows. What is also known is how much of a playboy he is but that doesn't stop all the nurses from throwing themselves at him, each one believing they will tame him when he always says otherwise. Having a past like his will scar anyone into not wanting a commitment and for the longest time Porter enjoyed his lifestyle. That is until he met the one woman who doesn't fall at his feet and basically treats him like garbage. That woman also happens to be the new OB at his hospital and one who's just as dedicated to her job as Porter is to his. Kaya Hensley may be new to town but has already been warned about the player of the hospital. Having to work on cases together puts them close but with walls as high as Kaya's, no one is getting close, especially the guy who is the epitome of her past. And with similar personalities and mindsets these two clash so often to the point of hating each other. But then something changes and both begin realizing that nothing is as it seems what they really need in their life is standing right there in front of them.
Insatiable is actually my first read from this author so I didn't get the pleausure of meeting Porter beforehand and getting inside his head. From reading the blurb of Ravenous and plenty of reviews, I believe I'm not missing anything crucial to understand him here, although since the book is about him and his twin brother I will definitely have to check it out. Porter was such a fun character to read about. I love how he can be so serious about his job, yes his ego isn't all talk, and he cares so much for patients in and out of the hospital. He is also so good to his family and makes time for them and his friends despite the very busy schedule. Meeting his match in Kaya threw Porter for a loop in more ways than one and without even thinking about it, started changing how he saw himself and viewed his life. Kaya I actually didn't like that much at first. I understand being reminded of her ex but it seemed she purposely went out of her way to be horrible to Porter. This lasted longer than I thought and each time was worse than the last. Only when Porter backed off did Kaya come to her senses to stop with all the insults. Put these two together and you get a pretty cute couple. I love how they didn't go right to physical but instead would have long conversations to get to know each other. And at work things were kept professional although that was more of their schedules and less of them keeping away on purpose. I actually did see the drama unfold before it happened so I wasn't surprised but I did still enjoy reading how it all got solved. Overall Insatiable was a very cute read, I loved the hospital setting and how it all tied into the story, and I look forward to going back to the first of this duet and seeing the twins in action together.
I fell for Porter when his twin brothers book Ravenous released and after that I’d been hoping Porter would get his HEA and when the author said she was taking a writing break I pretty much cried for Porter. But, LL Collins is back and giving Porter his HEA and the wait was worth it.
Porter gave his heart away once and it was left shattered into a million pieces. Porter put it back together but it’s glued together and wrapped in barbed wire and he’ll never plan of giving it away again.
Instead Porter has lots of sex with lots of different women. Very few gets a round two with the Dr. He’s very select on who becomes a regular. One night while he’s out at the bar with his friends he spots the most beautiful women he’s ever laid his eyes on. She gives him one look at dismisses him for the first time in his life.
That night he gets called into the ER and is shocked the new OBGYN is that beautiful women from the bar. It’s obvious she’s heard his reputation and wants nothing to do with him. But, for the first time Porter wants more than sex. Kaya challenges him, is an amazing Dr and isn’t like anybody he’s ever met. Porter will do everything to get her to see past his reputation.
Kaya has moved to another state, started a new job and looking to start over. Her cheating ex husband has burned her. She knows his type and she won’t be fooled twice. When she gets the scoop on 2 Drs that get around she instantly wants to stay away.
When she laid eyes on Porter she was shocked he was the guy from the bar and even more reason to stay away. Porter makes it where she can’t think or see straight. Kaya normally doesn’t let hearsay make her automatically dislike someone and she’s normally not a mean person. Whenever she’s near Porter she doesn’t recognize who she is or get why she’s so terribly mean to him.
When Kaya finally pushes Porter’s limits he snaps and she’s on the receiving side of some pretty harsh words. He throws the towel in and tells her she wins and they need to stay away from each other.
Kaya should be jumping up and down in victory. But, Kaya starts learning things about Porter that she never knew. There’s things Porter does out of the goodness of his heart, things that nobody knows. Kaya’s realizing she jumped the gun on who Dr. Porter Kingsley is and she’s beating herself up over it. Kaya just hopes she can get him to forgive her and not prove her wrong.
Kaya made me wanna strangle her multiple, multiple times. I’m glad she took her head out of her butt in time. Porter is AH-MAY-ZING!! I’d liked him before but now I’m swooning. He had me. My heart broke for what he went through that made him anti-love. Kaya was perfect for him and he’s perfect for her.
LL Collins is back and didn’t miss a beat!! I’d continued waiting for her but I’m glad I don’t have to anymore lol. Hopefully, she’s back and not ready to stop for away. I’m definitely looking forward to her next release.
OH MY HELL L.L. COLLINS! Insatiable is now my very favorite book of hers to date, and frankly, I'm going to have to get the hard copy in order to cuddle up with it in bed! Dr. Porter Kingsley is that star playboy at the hospital. He's that bad boy that we all want to sleep with, and believe that we can change though he is upfront his intentions that none of us will ever be able to. See, he has past demons that no nurse will ever get past no matter how much they believe they will, so they're always pissed off and/or hurt somehow. That is until the new OB, Kaya, arrives. He wants her, and she's not having any of him, because her past makes sure her walls are impregnable against men like him. And since they work together a lot, she treats him badly. And I'm talking horrible, like I'm sure people didn't like her, but I was like he needed a woman who didn't fall at his feet in order for him to start really looking at himself. Their epic clashing turned into hate, and you know what they say about hate. Their interactions were a push & pull that was frustrating but I also felt like they were full of sparks that could be construed as foreplay. I already knew that they were going to be HOT during sexy times, like set the sheets on fire, but you'll have to read to find out. Ms. Collins really did it originally because they didn't hop in the sack right away, nope, and again, you'll have to read it to find out how these two got past the clashing, so get to once clicking because this story was magical with flawed doctors in a hospital setting that I couldn't have loved more if I tried! HIGHLY HIGHLY HIGHLY RECOMMEND!
Insatiable by LL Collins is book two in the Kingsley dduet, a duet of standalones. Book one is Ravenous, tells Raven and Breck's heart wrenching story and I absolutely loved it. I had high expectations and couldn't wait to read this next book. Insatiable is Porter and Kaya's story. Both are driven doctors and on top of their worlds. Porter Kingsley is Breck's twin brother and he could never understand him. He's a player who never wanted the picked fence. Casual fits him just fine and his countless meaningless accounters shows it. Kaya Hensley is a burned child. She's divorced and has sworn off all relationships. Her latest one forced her to start over. New city, new job, new everything. And when Dr. Playerer sets his eyes on her she's disgusted by him. Only he seems irresistible . I started reading and was well entertained til I came to the point where she simply can resist his magnetism and I was out. Out of my flow and out of the story. It's a case of it's not you but all me case, I think. All in all, the writing is great and I loved meeting characters from previous books. I learned a new side about the carefree Dr. Porter Kingsley and I didn't like this side. He's bossy has no boundaries and is hormone driven - to call it PG13. No, just no.
This is a standalone that involves Porter the twin brother of Breck. That stories was told a couple years ago. Porter is afraid of commitment and likes women, a lot of them. Kaya is the new OB physician that hates men like Porter. But like they say opposites attracts.
Let me start by saying that I would have given it a 5 star because I did devour it in almost one sitting. It’s captivating, entertaining and addicting. I understand this is a story, fiction. But I internally cringe when it involves any kind of sexual behaviour in an hospital setting. Maybe because I’m an old schooled nursing supervisor that condemned that kind of behaviour. Towards the second half, it changed drastically that is were I started to really enjoy these characters and storyline. I would say that I shed a few tears.
I really didn’t like Porter very much for bit but then that changed. It thinks that’s where there’s a shift in the storyline. It became quite captivating and enticing. There was never a dull moment.
Standalone told in a dual POV with an HEA that made me feel emotional. I highly recommend this story.
We first meet Porter Kingsley in Ravenous and while these two books are a part of the series, this book can be read as a stand alone. It has taken the author two years for this book (and I’m so glad that she is back to writing again) so as someone that read the first book in the series two years ago, the author does a wonderful job of refreshing our memories so that readers can totally follow the story. Right from the start I was drawn in and didn’t want to stop reading until I got to the last page and then wished for more. There is so much I would love to write about Porter and Kaya but then I would be giving away spoilers. I will say this that there is so much to these characters and it all isn’t what you are going to expect. Add in the chemistry between the two main characters and you won’t be disappointed. There is a great supporting cast of characters and it would be awesome if some of them get their own stories. Again I’m so glad the author is back from her break and is writing again and I’m looking forward to more from her in the future.
4.5 sweet, romantic, hot stars for the secong Kingsley brother! Meeting your match was never hotter or more challenging and satisfying than in this book. Insatiable is written with a great love for the characters, and it is impossible to not fall for Porter and Kaya! They are both fabulous. With some laugh out loud moments, as well as some that are definitely fan worthy, Insatiable succeeded in keeping my focus, bringing a smile to my face and many lush 'ahs' uttered over my kindle...even when on the train! Loved it xx💖💖
Insatiable by LL Collins is the second book in The Kingsley Brothers Duet. It's not necessary to have read the first book, but would be a good idea to read in order especially if you don't want to spoil the first book's ending. I'm not bothered. I've already started on the first book. I enjoyed Porter's story that I need to know more about Brecken, but first let me tell you about Porter. He is real lady's man. Kaya is not a given. Their chemistry is great! A fun summer read! Who doesn't love a story about hot doctors...lol Yvette, Book Haven Book Blog
This book...so good. I can't even tell you how much I enjoyed it, and Porter and Kaya are my happy place. The sexy elements aren't too much, either, which is exsctly how I like my romances. It has story. It has heart. It has characters you root for, and it reminds me of one of my fave shows, Grey's Anatomy, so of course I fell in love with it. Because of this, I give this book 5 stars. If I could award more, I would.
I am keeping this short and sweet. Buy this book because you will not regret it.
This is the second part of this duet, and is Porter and Kaya’s story. These two are both career orientated, and are not on the market for any significant other, but from the moment they meet the sparks fly, and the chemistry is off the scales. I loved the witty banter between them. This is a well written story which had me enthralled throughout this addictive page turner, and I cannot wait to read more from this talented author, whose work I recommend.
I enjoyed this story thoroughly. The journeys for Kaya and for Porter had me crying, laughing, sighing, and closing my eyes at times. The steam between these two was fantastic. I loved the independence, strength, and vulnerability of this couple. I recommend this story.
I received a copy of this story through Enticing Journey Book Promotions, and this is my unsolicited review.
I admit I squeed like a little girl when I saw LL Collins was releasing this one! Commitment phobe Dr. Porter Kingsley is back sexier than ever and has definitely met his match in Dr. Kaya Hensley. These two are absolutely perfect together. The chemistry is combustible and will set your kindle on fire! I absolutely loved it!
We first meet Porter Kingsley in Ravenous he is Brecken twin brother these two books are a part of the duet but both can be read as a standalone .......but read both because both twins are worth reading. Right from the start I was drawn in and didn’t want to stop reading until I got to the last page. You will love these characters and the supporting characters.
I was so looking forward to Porters story, and WOW....the author did not disappoint!!!!! This man had my emotions all over the place and man-oh-man, did his actions set my body on fire!! I fell in love immediately with both Porter and Kaya; seeing the two of them work together to overcome their pasts was incredibly heartwarming!!
I enjoyed Kaya and Porter’s story! Porter is one of my favorite types of Heroes. He’s cocky, gorgeous, a playboy and a massive commitment phobe...then comes Kaya. It took awhile to get there...but once it did, this story exploded HUGE! Then I couldn’t put it down. Then I cried, swooned, and laughed. I really look forward to this authors books!
Insatiable is worth the wait. Porter and Kaya’s connection was on fire from the first meet. The ghosts in the closet are revealed and the road to happily ever after is not an easy one. L.L. Collins writes a romance you will want to read every time. HEA. Standalone. Ravenous is not required to read prior to but you will be disappointed you didn’t read it sooner.
I am sooo happy I got a chance to read this early. This was one of those stories that sucked me in right from the start and kept me turning the pages well into the night, just so I could find out how it ended. And that ending! I loved it. This has to be one of my favorites by this author!
LL Collins is one of my go to authors. I will buy her books without reading the blurb, that’s how much I like her work. This book has it all - emotion, humor, suspense.
This book was definitely worth the read. I swooned and was left wanting more. This duet is a must read and when you get to this book you are going to be left wanting more.
What a great duet about Porter and Breck, the Kingsley twins. While each book is a standalone, the writing and storyline that threads thru is so engaging, I encourage you to read Ravenous first and then Insatiable. The brothers journey to love is so worth your time!
