Seven Essentials to Transform Your Life has some amazing, life-bettering suggestions within its pages. Jumping right into the age of the internet and social media, where while we have everything at the touch of our fingertips human beings seem to be at an all time high for depression, anxiety, feelings of hopelessness or emptiness. This book proceeds to spend its entirety providing and describing examples of the things that we can do to improve our quality of life emotionally, physically, and socially. Breathing exercises, time spent outdoors, growing your own food, and more; I felt more inspired to appreciate my life and slow down sometimes just reading this book.

Of course, like with any self-help book, there is always the occasional odd suggestion, and this one happened to make its appearance just a few pages in (you'll know when you see it) but overall I thought this was a great book and I'm definitely going to be making mental notes of some key points to remember!

I did find this book very helpful. It lays out 7 basic things we should be in charge of and working to maintain. I found it easy to read and understand. I hope to be able to keep using what I have learned.

The book presents the 7 areas of life that everyone should be in control of. The spiritual and energy aspects are well balanced with scientific knowledge.
Each topic is clearly presented in a way that allows the reader to determine where they are at, and simple ways to improve.
We all need balance in life and this book encourages and taylors it on a personal level.
It is a book, I will read again and again.

As self help books go, it's pretty good. It's well layed out, clear, concise. It has fairly reasonable expectations on what an average person can accomplish. I like that it focuses on balancing different needs rather than just being a diet book or exercise book, etc.

Not just a diet book, not just an exercise or meditation book-using a truly holistic approach, Dr. Gorain touches on the most relevant a wide range of topics that should all be considered to optimize the different aspects of life that impact health.
This book contains a lot of information while remaining actionable and of interest to the average person, something which many health books seem to miss. I would especially recommend this book to anyone who is overwhelmed or discouraged with the noisy environment of often-conflicting information in the health space.
