Background reading for a research paper.
Though the time period is much earlier than my scope, I thought it might be interesting not only to read about the origins of Russian-Ethiopian relations, but also to see that as written in the 1950s, before the area became a real conflict-zone in the Cold War. I tried to just skim for pertinent information, but found myself reading pages at a time on accident. Very interesting, though, of course, probably only to those who were already interested in the first place.
