The essence of business

Rate this book
This book is composed of three components that intertwine and overlap; My personal journey, Statoil Fuel & Retails' transformation into becoming a global retail company, and practical tools and content structured under the book's five elements; ROCE, Strategy, Execution, People and Leadership. I am proud that the book has received recommendations from both Philip Kotler of Kellogg School of Management and Alain Bouchard from Alimentation Couche-Tard. The book is richly illustrated but does not necessarily have to be read from A to Z. An executive manager/ executive might seek experience in connection with establishing a matrix organisation, while a middle manager may require input to sales work. Perhaps you are a student or employee with management potential and wish to understand the overall picture.

Handbook in leadship and business. Down to Earth and sometimes quite a pageturner.
Text is full of small gems which can be useful in case you attend an interview for a position of senior manager or being promoted from an expert employee to manager or executive officer.
Not a revolutionary in the approach (many refernces to military practice) as the author is former officer.
