Housepets! Don't Know How Stuff Works is the ninth book in the Housepets...saga...thing. This book represents a format change from the previous, but don't be fooled! Even though the physical size is smaller, the comics themselves are bigger and easier to read than ever! Anyway this is the one that introduces Mungo. "An excellent and therapeutic use of your time! I recommend it to all my clients." --Mungo "Once again, I appear to the demand of all my fans." --King, holding up paws to wild applause and cheering "HOW MANY PUPS?! HOOOOOW MAAAAANNNNYYYYYYY?!" --Peanut Butter
I'm a regular fan of Rick Griffin's Housepets comic. The plot arcs are complicated and sometimes run for months. At just 3 pages a week, it can be easy to lose some of the threads or get confused. When the storyline is assembled for continuous reading, new elements become clearer.
Rick's characters are realistic and complicated. Relationships develop over time, and can be rich with detail. I'm not generally a graphic novel reader, but Housepets is a major exception for me. I have to get each new volume as it appears, and this is the latest. It may not make a lot of sense unless you start farther back in the series. Ideally, from the beginning.
