This book features the iG3s by iGage and the XY-001 by TheMarksman for collecting Static and Fast Static GPS observations. This book will walk you through the steps needed to establish a GPS Static and Fast Static network that can be used to set Ground Control Points (GCPs) for survey mapping. "No complicated math or complex geodesy understanding is required." The procedures shown herein are designed to make the process as simple as possible for those that have any surveying experience.
I found Jim's book a good guide and refresher to collecting ground control points (GCPS). It was focused on using iGage GNSS equipment and great if you have that brand. Other GNSS equipment will have a slightly different workflow, but the procedures are similar to a Trimble system, for example. Like the section on converting from grid to ground. Overall, I recommend the ebook.
