This suffers from the same "white jungle god" issues as the rest of the series (although in Kioga's case he's a white forest god). Even so I enjoy the stories of Kioga, orphaned white kid who grew up among the indigenous people of Nato'wa, the lost northern land from which Native Americans are all descended. Here we flashback to Kioga's teen years as he battles with his enemies among the tribes, helps those who need it and in one story rushes to save the people from the largest town as a flood rushes down on them. I'm impressed by how pulse-pounding Chester makes that sequence.
