I loved the book especially Connor’s character. I secretly liked him in Loving bad, but here in his book I really loved the type of man he is and how he took care of Shanon. As to Shanon I found it some kind of stupid to be with someone just because of the life he is providing for her. Also despite of the childhood trauma she has i think she was a bit cruel to Slater, because they were both innocent kids and she shouldn’t blame him so hard.

Alright.. where do I start off.

Firstly, the book was really good. I enjoyed it enough that I was smiling like an idiot at times and also cried a few times.

Secondly, it would have gotten 5 stars if it wasn’t for it feeling like the roles were reversed with Riley/Shannon being similar to Sin and Connor being similar to Taylor (yes, I understand they are siblings). It was pretty well the girl from the wrong side of the tracks falling for the boy from the right side of the tracks. I got it; the girl had some serious trust issues and she made some stupid ass choices like not talking to Connor about her bat shit crazy, mentally and emotionally unstable personal assistant.

Thirdly, I’m all for a good kidnapping but not when every main female gets fucking kidnapped! Examples: Taylor, Sarah and now Riley/Shannon! Find some other way to get the guy to save the girl! Burning building.. shark invested waters.. anything! Just stop with the kidnapping!

Fourthly, what the fuck was the point of even really having her ex-boyfriend apart of the story aside from the fact that his abusive ass is the reason why Connor comes to the rescue. He honestly played such a minimal part. I was expecting so much more from that character. Also, what the hell happened with Shannon and Slater reuniting?! They have one meeting and then by the end of the book things are fine cause she’s knocked up with Connor’s kid (baby boy named Chase) and getting married to him?! That needed a bit more development too I think.

And lastly, the sex scenes.. have you ever heard of different positions?! No? Just missionary.. a little more variety would have been nice. They do it once on the desk and then it’s just in the bed. Also why do you have to be so descriptive with how they kiss every fucking time they kiss! I get it.. their tongues are in each other’s mouths but for the page of tongue kissing, so much more could have been added for the sex. Cause with how all these men fuck in all the books, they all last like 2 minutes..

But after all my nitpicking, the book is still worth the read.

Another amazing book in the series.

I have loved every book in this series and this one was no different. Connors story was just as intriguing as all the others. I don't think I could ever get tired of any of these characters . This book is a definite must read. I felt all the emotions that Connor and Riley (shannon) were feeling. Regan always makes you feel like you are a part of the characters lives. It takes a lot for an author to mAke you feel that way and she does every time.
