Her Christmas Gift by Sherelle Green 4.5
I read “Her Christmas Wish” after I read Face down Friday’s because I wanted to get more background on Nash Crowne and his Brother Luke O’Connor. I also read the “Bare Sophistication” series so it was good to get updates on that crew as well. Kyra Reed was hopelessly in love with her brother Taheim’s best friend Luke. We find out that Luke has pretty much felt the same way for years, but felt his best friends sister was off limits. Luke was also like a big brother to Kyra. Years ago, Luke declined Kyra’s advances in a way that caused a fracture in their overall relationship. The two are now in the same city and of course are forced to spend more time together. Luke is trying to make amends, but Kyra is still angry with him. I like how Ms. Green allows the couple gradually rebuild their relationship and grow from big brother/protector role to lover. Kyra finally gave in. A holiday vacation to a beautiful part of the world definitely doesn’t hurt. There were some sexy physical scenes with the beautiful, sunny St. Lucia as the backdrop. There were also some barriers to get over. Luke was still guarding his heart due to his relationship with Father. There was also Kyra’s brothers to deal with. There was a family scene Kyra, Luke and her Brothers that was necessary but would have certainly made me uncomfortable.

I loved seeing Nash and Luke bond and also Kyra and Nash build strong bonds. It was also good to get updates on the rest of the crew. I’m glad Kyra got her Christmas wish! This was a great read and I was glad I took the time to go back in the catalog and read it.

Designed by Love is the final book in the Hunters of California series. Jeremy Hunter and Serita Edwards meet at a conference in Madrid and have physical chemistry right away. It definitely helps that they are in similar professions and interested in the same things. Serita things that Jeremy “is Fine with a capital F”. Jeremy is totally drawn to her and is attracted to her beauty and brains. They have an opportunity to spend some time enjoying the city. Jeremy is not into flings but Ms. Lister adds a twist by having Serita make the first move. There is a sexy moment where Jeremy makes Serita keep her glasses on. This couple is really into each other. After the conference we know they will be spending more time together and that’s exactly what happens. I loved the scene when they were just content being in each other’s presence while reading together. Jeremy is sure of his feelings. The way he expresses himself to Serita is touching and sensual at the same time. Serita is still processing her feelings and also considering her career. We also realize that Jeremy is a tad bit inpatient. I’m just glad they figure it out. I enjoyed how Jeremy is focused on the community and encourages students to focus on robotics. This was a great read.

They did it again

I enjoyed both stories. In the Christmas Wish I enjoyed the blending of families and hope Nash gets his own story. Also their love story was a long time coming but worth it. Loved Jeremy and Serita's story sorry to see the series end. Jeremy saw what he wanted and knocked down all obstacles in his way. Maybe Gabriella can get a story.

This review is two-fold. Both of these are absolutely wonderful reads. I'd recommend both stories. It was great to catch up with some of the authors' other well-loved characters! Sherrelle Green made a horrible misstep in her story, though. made a horrible misstep. The sister's name is KYRA in this book, but is KAYA in the other books about her brothers. It's definitely the same character, because Taheim only has one sister. It's disheartening, because if the author doesn't care about keeping her characters straight and respecting their storylines, why should I? I took off a story for Sherrelle's callousness.

Love is worth waiting for.

That is the theme in this 2 for 1 collection from Kimani Romance.

Both stories deal with couples who are ready for love, but something is holding them back. In Her Christmas Wish, Kyra and look have known each other their own entire lives. Kyra has been in love with Luke for just as long, but Luke has been denying his feelings. After 10 years apart, Luke has decided to man up and go and get his girl. But Kyra however isn’t as enthusiastic to be with her life-long crush as he thought she would be. He hurt her when he rejected her all those years ago and that changed how she looked at life and love.

In Designed by Love, Serita has known Jeremy for just a week and although he has hinted at his feelings for her, she does’t trust it. Because of how she has been treated in the past, she doesn’t trust that Jeremy loves her for her and won’t try to change her.

Serita and Kyra were both hesitant to love. They let their fear rule them and almost lost out on their future. In both cases the men stepped up their game. They were loving, understanding, and patient. Sometimes a little too patient. Family also plays a big part of both books. All characters are family oriented and close to family and friends. There is a sense of community and love between the secondary characters that help both couples along on their love journey. Whether it’s advice or a listening ear, it was nice to see.

Get your passports ready for this two in one Kimani collection.

In Her Christmas Wish, Sherelle Green gives us a trip to St. Lucia where we get to know a little bit more about Luke O'Connor. If you follow this author, chances are you've met him in previous stories. He has always been somewhat of a mystery.

Kyra and Luke have been on a slow simmer for 10 years. When harsh words are spoken between them, it cause them to separate. They never got over each other, with their hearts belonging to the other. When Kyra has a need to find some property, Luke is the best person for the job. When the two are in close proximity sparks are ignited.

Designed by Love, Sheryl Lister prepared a trip abroad to Madrid for professional conference. This final installment of the Grays ends with Jeremy, the last single Gray.

These two bond of their love for robotics. Jeremy believed in love at first site, Serita not so much, one look had these two inseparable for the duration of the conference and beyond.

If you enjoy second chance love and love at first glance, this on is sure to be a treasure.

‘Designed By Love’

I didnt enjoy this, it is definitely not her best writing. Most of the book had an underlying theme, it was Jeremy and Serita thinking to themselves that-they never met anyone like him or her, or Serita being completely unsure of the real relationship while getting deeper into it.

I had been anticipating Jeremy’s story because he was the one who was most looking forward to love, but it didn’t satisfy as I thought it would.

By no means should you let this review keep you from reading this author’s other works because they are phenomenal. And they really are worth your time.

Both stories were great. I loved the first story. Both were around the holidays but didn't necessarily have to do with the holidays. Both stories gave me tons of feels.
