I will not divulge how many times I’ve reread this story since its been available, y’all would move to have me locked up. Because, yes, it’s that good. In a world full of royal weddings, royal intrigues, and especially royal books…this one stands out amongst the crowd. I have read my share of royal romance. However, this one is so much more than that. Mr. Black mixes history, wit, suspense, and characters that you feel deep down in your gut, whether they be good or bad, into an intoxicating fantasy world that you will not be able to get enough of. Everything about this story resonates with it’s reader. This series is set to be a crown jewel in Mr. Blacks treasure trove of amazing stories!!

Wow. What the actual heck did I just read?!
I wanted something short with romance, but this was the WRONG THING to pick up. It is a prequel novella, so it introduces characters and backstory for a longer work, but this was not the story I was expecting at all. I can't remember where I first heard about this book, but I also don't remember hearing anything related to the synopsis on here.
First, there is rape, kidnapping, and violence, so trigger warnings should be included for those. The prince Tristan kidnaps and uses women until he's "done with them", so who knows what happens to them after that.
Secondly, how could Tristan not recognize who the girl he kidnapped is, i.e. the very beautiful daughter of the most prominent family in Astoria besides his?
Thirdly, the writing style is sadly lacking. There are sentence structure issues, and the writing doesn't flow well.
I really hope the author isn't trying to romanticize kidnapping and forced submission, because that is the exact opposite of safe, sane, and consensual relationships.
The sad thing is I thought there could be great potential with the rivalry between the brothers and the involvement of Ariana's family. I read the sneak peek and some reviews for the book that comes after this, and it seems those plot lines might be touched on, but I don't know if I can bring myself to pay for a book marketed as dark romance if half of the plot is Ariana being an actual slave with no way out.

Prequel to The Wicked Royal's Series. You will not be able to put this down once you start reading. There is revenge, hate, and heat that will have you wanting more. Tristan, Ariana and Alexandr are exciting, sexy and desirable that you don't want this to end. Thorne Black has given us such a hot sensational must-must-must read. I am craving more. I can't wait to read Book 1: His Majesty's Pleasure.

His Majesty's Court is the prequel to the Wicked Royals series and is a must read. This book is well written and has an amazing storyline. The events that take place in this book leave you needing more. The characters and twists in this book keeps you on the edge of your seat, leaving you guessing what will happen next. This is a very intriguing book with love, hate & power.

I saw one of my favorite authors posted good things about this author. I love reading Contemporary Romance and I love reading kinky romance. I am very picky about authors and kinky romance so I was hesitant about this book. I literally read this book last night from start to finish! Prince Tristan is this really really kinked out arrogant prick with women. However, I'm still drawn to him. He's like the ultimate bad boy hard core! Ariana, he kind of remind you of Dr. Jeckle-Mr. Hyde? I never ever expected for this to grab and shackle me, but I was shackled and oh so worth it! This book definitely is on my Favorites list!

This is the Prequel to the first book of the Wicked Royals Series and it is an amazing book that you don't want to finish because you want to keep reading on and on and on!!!! Ariana is just a girl of eighteen going to a party when she is taken away by soon to be King Tristan who has plans for her...wicked plans. But he has a brother who might have other ideas. There is love, hate and many twists to this book...it is a must READ!!!

Wow this was a dark and twisted book that left me wanting more and more. Tristan is this soon to be heir to the throne but finds himself obsessed with this woman. She's the enemy to the Royal Family but when the first born shows up things become more unknown. I feel as if we have so much more to figure out and I can't wait to se what happens.
Another wonderful and amazing read and I must say that Mr. B knows how to keep us guessing. I happily give it 5+ stars.

Big ass cliffhanger to make you buy the first book in the series I’m assuming? There are some grammatical errors but nothing major.
It’s a dark romance with most likely strong M/s themes BUT zero consent so that’s not BDSM.
Tristan is a douche.

O my Mr.Black has me intrigued he knows how to put the dark in erotic. This prequel opens up a world you definitely want to enter. I must say thank you Thorn Black for your awesome work you give us.

Wow. His Majesty’s Court is the prequel to the Wicked Royals Series. It does need to be read before the series, because it does explain how all this got started. If the series is as good as the prequel is this will be a very hot and sexy series. Enjoy.

This is the prequel to His Majesty’s Pleasure. It’s a short story but oh so dark and gritty. Full of dark sexual desires, each page hooks you into the story then leaves you begging for more. So looking forward to where this series will take us.
