I love it when I come across books that are a little on the spicy side. Let’s be real, the spicier the better, am I right?! LOL! I love them all—sweet and full of romance, steamy and naughty, erotic and sexy—you name it! That’s also the best way to describe the collection of holiday romances, This Christmas.
I was all prepared to really go into detail about this collection, but there are 12 stories! Since no one probably wants to read me going on and on and … on--I'll be very brief!
Note: Right off the bat, I noticed that some of the stories needed a lot of editing and proofreading. 😔
Story#1: The 12 Days of Christmas 3/5 🌟🌟🌟
It began both sad and sweet. My heart hurt for the heroine. She’s been battling depression and suicidal thoughts for years after losing her husband and son in an accident she blames herself for. 💔 The hero admiring this heroine from afar was romantic and swoony, maybe a little “stalkery,” too...😂. But even so, it was adorable how he took to romancing her the old-fashioned way--with courting and flowers.
The heroine’s initial reaction to the hero’s disability was disappointing, and I found myself wanting to knock some sense into her. Shock, I understand, but she behaved like a snob. Then she wises up, and being a good man, the hero forgives her. After that, things really heat up, and…well, yeah…this story needs a little more work. The whole premise was very intriguing, and I couldn’t wait to see how the author would flesh it out. However, I just don’t think it was executed to its full potential.
Story#2: Me and Mr. Jones 4/5 🌟🌟🌟🌟
This was a quick, steamy, and sexy office romance. It wasn’t really holiday-esque, but a good story.
Story#3: Someday at Christmas 5/5 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟
Now this one was pure-dee sexy! The way the author presents the heroine’s alter ego was brilliant. Bethany, AKA Candy was a sensual delight. At times, “Candy” seemed like a real person trying get out and have an identity of her own! And the hero, Jahmal was just too scrumptious! Confident, sexy, and strong…I loved it!
Story#4: Santa Baby: 2.5/5 🌟🌟🌟
This one was not exactly my cup of tea. Now that’s not to say that others won’t enjoy it, but it just wasn’t to my liking. I really don’t like constant cheating in books; especially when everyone’s doing it and being irresponsible on top of all that. Also, when children are involved, I think that’s the worst. I didn’t get a “Christmassy,” sexy, or even romantic feeling from this story. It just didn’t do it for me.
Story#5: If You Leave Me Now 4/5 🌟🌟🌟🌟
The heroine, Liz, came off a little snobbish-like in the beginning. Her attitude almost made her miss out on a good thing with the hero, Leslie. In this one, I adored the secondary characters as well-- Liz’s friends, Jacob and Deja. “All’s well that ends well.”
Story#6: The Awakening of Fallon Monroe 3/5 🌟🌟🌟
Let’s just say this one was quick…and kinky!😛
Story#7: Twas the Night Before Christmas 5/5 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟
Wow! Absolutely beautiful and so thought-provoking! While the hero was away trying to gain wealth and possessions to present to his heroine, all she wanted, all she needed was him. He wasted so much time… time that he could have spent loving her and letting her love him… I’m absolutely humbled by this!
Story#8: The Night Before 5/5 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟
Sawyer and India are hot, hot, hot! 🔥🔥Nothing else needs to be said other than I absolutely loved this story!
Story#9: What do the Lonely do at Christmas? 2/5 🌟🌟🌟
I’m sorry, but I did not like this story. Again, I’ll say that other readers may enjoy this one, but I didn’t. 😔
Story#10: The Gift That Keeps on Giving 2.5/5 🌟🌟🌟
I love erotic stories, but I was not feeling this one. 😔
Story#11: All I Want for Christmas is You 5/5 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟
All I need to say about this one is that it is very, very sexy and so, so hot!😍🤤🔥🔥
Story#12: Merry Christmas, Baby 5/5 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟
What a way to end a collection! There was a little suspense mixed in with some danger, and Samaya and Jacoby oozed chemistry and sensuality. This story was hot, hot, hot!! 👌🏾🔥🔥
I believe there’s a little sumthin’ sumthin’ in this collection for everyone!
This was a really good read! Each story was unique in its own way! I loved how each story left you wanting more! This one is worth every star I gave it!
