Three times best selling author Dawn Robertson was born and raised in Connecticut before relocating to Florida in 2013. The same year first novel, Hers debuted as an Amazon Best Seller. Replicating that success with two additional novels in the following years.
The Indie publishing world has grown to love her raw writing style depicting strong women in real life situations, topping the charts in erotica, romance, and romance-suspense. Robertson has even insinuated that the female characters in her book mirror her real life. But, that I'll leave to speculation.
When Dawn Robertson is not writing she is a full-time Real Estate professional in Florida, and mother of three amazing children.
I'm not really sure about this story. I liked the plot & storyline a lot. But Emily annoyed me & I never really got over that. I liked Avery, tho. : ) Also, there were some twists that were done well.
While point of view is occasionally hard to follow, who says what, is an interesting twisting story. Characters you love, characters you hate... all make up for a good book!
MAY CONTAIN SPOILERS. Really nice romance, very heartfelt & genuine, small amount of drama makes the relationship tighter. Avery, a hot fireman, pulls Emily from her damaged car & they are instantly attracted to each other. Avery visits her in the hospital, brings her supper, they go on dates, get super close, and then when family drama on both sides occurs it draws them into one tight family unit. Emily has an ex who seems slightly psycho. Avery has an ex who he dated so few times that he doesn't even consider that they dated, and she is clingy. I hate misunderstandings that draw our lovers apart, I hate vindictive exs, and luckily this story kept those scenarios light. It isn't a unique story, pretty predictable, but I did love these two together. The love affair did not get nearly as down & dirty as some of the author's other books - it was more sweet & loving between these two soulmates.
Emily meets hunky Avery after she's been in a car accident and he rescues her (since he's a firefighter paramedic). He comes to visit her in the hospital and wham there's sparks.
I don't want to say too much else, except there sexy times, a psycho-ex, a gramma needing a place to live and a brother in law who's a jerk..
This was a fun read even if it could have been written a little better.
