Another wow story by Raymond Benson. Very dark mystery. As usual very interesting characters and I like how the characters intertwine and how they come together in the end. I do the like how it went back in time and in todays time building the suspense and slowly emerging the story.

Searingly graphic picture of life in small town, post oil boom, Texas. Organized crime, prostitution, gambling, police corruption and a serial killer. One woman can't rest until the circumstances surrounding her mother's murder, a 20 year old cold case, are revealed and the truth is finally told. Exhausting but compelling read by the man who was granted the right to continue the Ian Flemming - James Bond series, Raymond Benson.
