This is the first messy bun hat pattern I have made, should have done it long ago, why, no idea, one of these things you put on hold and it never gets done. Well here it is, it will fit any teen /adult woman, the hat height 8” (20cm), the circumference 21” (53cm) to 23” (59cm). English & American Standard Terms Materials I used and you will need are 2½ oz (70g) of UK chunky, USA bulky (5), depends which country you are in of course. needles used are 40cm/16” circular USA 8 (UK 5mm), plus 40cm/16” circular USA 10 (6mm) and of course a set of 4 double pointed USA 10 (UK 6mm). Working to a Gauge / Tension using above yarn and 10/6mm needles over st st, 7½ sts x 10 rnds to 2"(5cm) The gauge / tension is very important, get it right and the hat will fit, if your gauge / tension is wrong , please google how to adjust it using different sizes of needles Hope you enjoy your hat, or if it is a present then the person receiving it does
