Tech Support Has Never Been This Funny Technical Support workers all over the world invite you to listen in on some of their most surprising calls. Sometimes silly, sometimes frustrating, always entertaining. You'll laugh your heart out when you see what these representatives deal with every day! Grab some popcorn and 3D glasses , then set them down and come read all about the world's dumbest computer users! (Proceed with Caution)
I don't believe in monsters, but I sleep with the sheets over my head. I hate getting wet, but I stay in the shower until the hot water runs out. I never go over the speed limit, but I like to race cars. I'm a good listener, but I talk a lot in my sleep. I'm not a bad person, but I write to free my demons.
I am in the IT industry myself (as you probably need to be in order to read this) and found it to be an ok, not great read. Most of this is due to the fact that the book is nearly 10 years old, and my depth of knowledge on the industry doesn't go back quite this far. Don't get me wrong, there are some very funny, timeless items in this book (like the "missing manual" for users the best), but a decent amount of it is corny, or I have already heard it a lot. I recommend it to anyone in the IT industry to read, but if you don't work on computers daily, don't expect to get a lot of laughs out of it.
Techmares collects some of the most willfully ignorant and hilariously misled tech support callers and shares them for our amusement. Many of them are almost unbelievable, and most are incredibly relatable if you're a somewhat computer-literate person who's tried to help someone who is NOT. It's definitely for a specific audience, and it doesn't bother to explain the punchlines to you so if you're not a tech person this is not going to be internally understandable humor for you.
