So much DRAMA! SPOILER ALERT!

I'm breaking this down by character:

The King: I don't like him, he strung Chelsea along for 3+ yrs, and pretty much used her as a place holder. He never made it clear cut that she was only ever going to be his mistress and never his Queen. So typical of men even in this day and time. I also think it was so trifling of him to cut her off, have her moved, and pretty much kept her from seeing her own child, and letting another women take her place as the child's mother.

Chelsea: on one hand I feel bad for her but on another had I feel like the girl was so full of herself she fell into her own trap. If it were not for that scandalous father of hers, she may have turned out to be a better person.

Charles: that man is delusional and trifling. No other words for him. Oh and a horrible father. A snake in the grass.

Can't remember his name Chelsea other brother( not Christopher): any way that SNAKE! Should have been executed period. He literally almost killed his own niece. Like wtf. Evil personified.

Sweet Abbie: she was so innocent, pure, good hearted, and free. Until....that greedy King laid eyes on her, disturbing all her peace. Poor Thang was made a target for the devil.

Cadhlia(probably misspelled): I love her as a mother to Abbie. She was and is a mother bear when it comes to her baby.

Thomas: I feel like he caused this whole mess. So bent on going to his people's lands regardless of his wife's concern or his family's safety. I feel like he didn't do enough to protect Abbie.

Byron: he is a great big brother and tired to protect Abbie on every turn.

Come on Now

WTH, See I told you Chelsea and her conniving Father Charles ain't right.

As we left off Abigail was accused of Poisoning the Child Princess.

We all knew who the Scoundrel or should I say SCOUNDRELS were.

But our King Maxwell didn't believe it, and had his lady love hidden in a tower for her Safety. But Alias that was not to be. She was mistreated and was left there unaware of her loves Anguish.

Yeah right, so why did he sleep with the Huzzie knowing the consequences of his actions to Abbie. And once again the Heifer is pregnant. But who's too say it's the Kings.

When she found out it was hard for Maxwell to win her Trust back. But he finally did with help with His sister Elizabeth, his brother Luis and Abbies Brother Byron. Who wanted the Marriage to take place and consummated before the birth.

As they celebrate their Happiness in comes the Chamber Man with a Messages. WTH....

Can Abigail ever have her HEA. Jay Quin you're killing me here love.

Why?!?!?!

Why did you end this book like that?!?! I'm over like what there had to be another page left, LOL!! Great job on this book it was just as good if not better than the first book. I love Maxwell and Abigail I'm happy they finally got married but now I'm worried that it will not last with the birth of Chelsea's son. I'm wondering if the king will be strong with his love for Abigail and not give that evil cow Chelsea what she wants and that's the king. She is spoiled and mean to everyone around her she does nut deserve to be queen. But if she comes for Abigail I hope she stands up for herself and be the strong woman her mother raised her to be. What a great book can't wait for the next one. Well until next time.

A good read that unfortunately went on and on. Also it was hard to feel the attraction between the two characters. They just loved each other. Would have merited more stolen love scenes. Also some conflict in the heroine’s interaction with some dissenters besides the one, the mistress, to show some growth of presence and character. Will likely not read the third.

Wow just wow

So I love the characters....Maxwell the sexy godlike King, Abigail the naive young woman in love and Chelsea the super vindictive mistress. All the villains and supporters really made this story fantastic. What a shame though on though on the wedding day to receive such news. I am itching to read Book 3. December has passed where is it?

Another cliffhanger

I enjoyed the author's approach for book 2. He successfully displayed the selfishness of the king along side of the love and passion of the man. The story is predictable yet entertaining. Announcing the sex of Chelseas' bastard child before they could consummate the marriage was entertaining. I look forward to the next book of the series. Keep them coming.

Anticipating Book Three

This was a really good book and I know more is on the way. I was so disappointed in Max. How could he turn to Chelsea when Abbie was in a tower being abused. He should have been honest with Abbie and now another monkey wrench has been thrown in the game. What is gonna do now that he has a son. What will become of Abby. 💖💖

Unbelievable

So I gave this book a 4 star because it was well written. But I was ANGRY every page. I don't why Abbie would marry King Max when he had relations with Chelsea. I never felt the passion or love between Abbie and Max even though he kept confessing his. If you love her so much let her go. Not surprised with cliffhanger. Guess I will be angry reading the third book.

I waited all night

I woke up at 12:30 to see if this book was available because I needed to know what was next. Now I wait again. This is an amazing series. As a fan of historical romance I commend Jay Quin. Hopefully we won't have to wait long for part 3.

Wow

So much intrigue....I do hope Charles and his family get what's coming to them. Maxwell, I cannot make up my mind if I like him or not. Poor Abbie....I am hoping there is a discussion about who is really Christopher's father.

Good

A little repetitive and little progress on plot but its a short read and allows for little wait for a continuation.
