This was a modern vampire story set in Toronto. It was interesting with many twists and turns. A subplot dealt with the question of do the strong and powerful have the right to dominate and exploit the weak to ensure their survival? It was also hard to picture all of this mayhem happening in Toronto. A city I know well and where violent crime is rare. Over the years I have wandered all over the city and have never felt unsafe unless you are talking about the traffic which is another story.
First book I have read from this author and I am sorry but this book was boring and I only made it to chapter 10.
