It was going to be one of the great Apache raids of all time. Leading his band of warriors, Chatto was going to cross the vast southwest and cover more miles in less time than had ever been done before. Hard on their heels were the men of Company ‘C’, yet even they couldn’t keep up. Then, tired and worn out, they rode into an ambush with devastating consequences. Whilst licking their wounds back at Fort Whitethorn, an opportunity came up for Nathan Kelso’s men to redeem themselves. General Crook wanted them at the tip of his spear when he rode into Mexico after Geronimo. But Malachai Roy has other ideas. Riding at the head of his small army, the scalp-hunter wants what Kelso and his men have. And in the small town of Spanish River, Company ‘C’ realizes it must fight like hell if it’s to survive!
As always a great read , glad to see Kelsey stopped drinking. And he found his old love hope they can work things out. Look forward to the next book on Company C. Thank you for a awesome read.
Western cavalry read needs no explanation. Reasonably well written. Good action, Indians , paranoid townsfolk and old flame thrown in at the closing act. Perfect Saturday morning dime novel read for a long lie in bed.
