This book y’all...this is power! Kaitlin goes through 10 different narratives going on in our minds that are not from God. She guides the reader through the associated verse, a brief section of encouragement and truth, and finishes with a section to remember, replace and reflect. This book is a very easy read, but one you will come back to over and over again! I would recommend this book to anyone who struggles with thoughts of not feeling enough or too much. Also for people who feel like they need to be people pleasers or compare themselves to others. Everyone needs to hear these truths and learn how to walk in the narrative that God truly has for you!!!

I love this book. I love how short the chapters are. It makes it easy to read back when you want to review an area. I love how at the end of each chapter, there’s a “Remember”, “Replace”, and “Reflect” section—a small exercise to do to get you on track from replacing your negative thoughts with God’s truth.

This book will always be relatable and something I will go back to when I need a boost of encouragement and reminder of Jesus love for me.

Our minds are complicated. Thousands of thoughts everyday, many are from God and unfortunately many are Not from God. Kaitlin Chappell Rogers addresses this reality in an authentic and practical way to replace the lies we get caught up in with truth. This book will help you move out of the darkness and into the glorious light.

As a host at Biltmore I enjoyed giving tours on one I met Kaitlin. She was part of a bridal party and we had a blast. I bought her book and enjoyed reading it as did the friends I shared it with.

The basic idea is good, but it was a bit too close to "word of faith" type teaching for me.

Not From God: Taking Back the Narrative of Your Life by Kaitlin Chappell Rogers

This little book is full of amazing encouragement. It takes 10 common struggles we face: anxiety, fear, comparison, loneliness, stress, depression, and shows us from God's Word how these things are not from Him. They are a result of a sin broken world. But we have hope. We have God who is there for us and we can overcome these things.

This was very encouraging for me. We all know that these things are not from God, but yet we always ask why we go through them. This book helped me see clearly how God will use what we struggle with.

This is set up like a devotional. The sections are very short with a reflection and prayer at the end. It could be done cover to cover in 10 days, could read the whole thing in 2 hours, or you could pick and choose which topic you'd like to read on.

You can find this on Amazon or on Kaitlin's blog.

Easy to read but powerful. I loved the discussion questions and ways she broke down truth.
