As a volume this isn’t even remotely coherent, but as a primer for the quality of the last few years of Spidey’s stories - especially the Dan Slott era - it’s great fun. And if anyone is still unsure that the more recent stories don’t have that essential Spider-Man quality, the book is capped off by the tripe that is Todd McFarlane’s godawful art for the Venom story. It was awful then and it’s almost worse now
