The Babe is back! Did the greatest baseball player in history, Babe Ruth ever father a child of his own?History tells us that Babe Ruth married twice and both times adopted little girls. However, his well-documented flamboyant life style provided many opportunities for him to father a child of his own. The Progeny explores the very real possibility / probability that such a child existed.
Once I started this book, I couldn’t put it down! The plot is engaging, the descriptive passages are elegant and the characters are interesting and well developed. I highly recommend this book.
Overall, this book is an interesting read. I love baseball stories and read every one I can get my hands on. Expanding on the legend of "The Babe" is an interesting idea. I really like the "RUTH, RUTH, RUTH" part at the end of the book (I won't write more so as not to spoil the story for those who have not read the book yet).
I would suggest that the book be edited one more time. Sometimes the writer mixes up the names of characters which is confusing. And, the flow of the "in game" action is also somewhat awkward. That being said, I think that people who like baseball stories will enjoy this book.
