If men are the block but women are the lights that keep the streets on then that’s the perfect way to describe Halo and Storm’s relationship. Halo and Storm were all about their hustle. Halo hit the streets and Storm was on her entrepreneur grind. Both of them were successful in their own ways but while Storm mainly worked on selling her products from home, Halo sold products in the streets. This afforded them a very nice lifestyle. But as always, with money comes power, respect and jealousy. Halo was born and bred for this lifestyle. Daddy ain’t raise no fools or no punks so when Halo is disrespected, that’s it. They gotta go! But when someone in your own camp wants to see you perish, what do you do? How do you feel knowing that you may have to kill someone you’ve grown up with your whole life? Friendships, relationships in general do that, but this one here is the ultimate test. True’s is Halo’s right hand man. Where you find one, you find the other. While True is dealing with his own demons, he still finds time to handle his business. Love isn’t something he’s looking for but it might find him anyway. Bread and Butta are twin brothers with wives and families. Older than both Halo and True, they’ve seen enough of the game and are ready to step down. Before they get a chance to, they get hit hard. This one hits way to close to home for them to just leave it alone so they do what they do best; suit up and eliminate bloodlines. Deuce has always been part of what’s called ‘The Faction’ since he was a young boy. Ran by his father, Halo’s father and the twins’ father, this was life to them. But ain’t no one man above the team and Deuce feels Halo ain’t cut to be the boss. Greed and jealousy is seeping through ‘The Faction’ and it comes in the form of Deuce. Find out what happens in this hood love story because everybody knows that a man’s weakness is who he loves and that’s who always gets hurt the most. Will Storm be ok? Will Halo concede to Deuce? Will Bread and Butta bow out? Will True sort his demons out? Will things ever be the same again?

Awesome and Entertaining

Bread, Butta, and Halo started having problems out of someone they least expected. Deuce jealousy had lead him to turn everybody's life upside down. He started a war that caused several casualties. Halo was broken after what happened to Storm. After everything that happened. A shocking secret came out about Halo. True being Halo friend understood the pain he was going through and had his back regardless. Bread didn't think the situation would get so far out of hand until it hit closed to home when tragedy struck. Butta saw everything his brother and friend was going through and took every precaution. Deuce played dirty to try to get what he wanted but he underestimated how pain can make the most sane person cold hearted.

Jealousy and Envy Is A Terrible Thing !

Marina another banger, I may be late with the read but it was so good to me. Oh my God! The Halo twist I never thought anything until Duece punk azz got to Halo. Bread and Butta , True and Halo had the Chi on lock. Duece was supposed to be a part of the Faction, but all he ever wanted to do was be in charge.
After all the dramatics that stupid Duece caused how in the world dis he think karma wasn't gonna get him?

First time

This is my first time reading this author and I must sai it was a good one. Will it be my last time? I don't think so. The built up suspense along with the drama kept you holding on. Now the big secret was something I never thought even though a clue was given. I am glad it was the usual fall in love with a chick that needs saving type of story. Can't wait to see what's next from Marina J

A Straight Hitt !!

This was one spectacular story and to say you are for some surprises is understatement! The writer takes us on a ride that's filled with danger and betrayal. The story follows the lives of this group of friends and family. This was well written and fleshed out story. If you are looking for something to keep you on edge and cheering for your favorite characters this it!

Good read

This story was good it got four star because the era toward the end. But marina has a very creative mind. Halo and storm was a great story. She did something most write would be worried about by hoe many killings and who was killed. My first read from this author but it was good.

Who knew halo was a girl! I thought deuce was gay. It's so easy how so called family quickly turns into foes. This was a good read
I just wished the other dude who was working with deuce got the business too.
Halo Done had deuces baby that's was another shocker. All in all great read
