Now that Po’Boy has found his happy with the two people he loves more than life itself, he just has to figure out how to keep it. Their triad relationship walks a finely balanced line between the demands of their outside lives and in bed, and Po’Boy is determined to keep things good and sweet for his lovers.

Change is unavoidable, no matter how much a body might wish otherwise, and outside of the relationship, Po’Boy’s role seems to shift with the wind, leaving him scrambling to keep his equilibrium both within the club he owes fealty to and with his ride-or-die, Twisted.

Nothing in life is easy, but with Wrench and Crissy around, he knows the love they share is worth fighting for, even if the worst of the demons he has to fight are buried deep inside himself. They’ll give him shelter for his heart.

18+ due to explicit content.

*Please note this book is part of the Neither This, Nor That MC book series, featuring characters from additional books in the series. If the books are read out of order, you’ll twig to spoilers for the other books, so going back to read the skipped titles won’t have the same angsty reveals. I strongly recommend you read them in order. Available This is the Route of Twisted Pain (book #1), Treading the Traitor's Out Bad (book #2), Shelter My Heart (book #3), Trapped by Fate on Reckless Roads (book #4), and Thunderstruck (book #5).

Wow! This was a surprise release from MariaLisa deMora and what a sweet surprise it was. I loved getting to catch up with Po’Boy, Wrench and Chrissy. Their relationship wasn’t an easy one and this novella tells us there is still some unresolved feelings left after the ending of Po’Boy’s story.

Sometimes, even with a happily-ever-after ending, reality sets in and it’s an absolute treat seeing fictional characters face more issues within their relationships. Not everyone rides off into the sunset and when a writer brings them back such as what was done with these characters, it makes them all the more real for me. To see them struggle with lingering doubts or wounds from the past that just haven’t quite healed. Shelter My Heart was just that.

Not only did it show the characters face all that I mentioned before, but it was downright EROTIC. I think this was more erotic than anything else MariaLisa has written. I mean, just the first chapter had me tingly.

I can’t wait for her next release in this series.

The only thing that could've made this short story better would be if it went on and on and on!
The wait after 'This is the Route of Twisted Pain' liked to killed me.....but then 'Treading the Traitor's Path: Out Bad' came and with it came Po'Boy, Crissy, and Wrench. Oh My! As perfect as that book was....I just needed more of them....and HERE IT IS!
Word of advice...don't try and read this at work, church, sitting next to your saintly great aunt, or basically in any other situation where you could possibly be embarrassed by gettin hot and bothered whilst reading, cuz this is SMOKIN HOT! Like some people (who will remain nameless) may have considered licking their Kindle (cuz what would be wrong with that!) hot!
'Trapped by Fate on Reckless Roads ' is next and comes out on January 21st. If you haven't read these books yet, start with Twisted Pain, but get to THIS fast! You will not be disappointed!
So good. SOOOOO DAMN GOOD!

I loved Shelter My Heart! For me this was a hot and steamy novella that me from the get go!
Po’Boy, Wrench and Chrissy even from their prior story pulled me in and just gave me all sorts of feels!

I loved that we revisited a moment that was a pivotal scene that had broke my heart. Got to the goods of that and it mended what I had initially felt.

As always, I’m a big fan of this author and always gobble her stories up.

My only complaint is that I had to really pay attention because with the multiple conversations and name changes I got confused on who is who.

Other than that I enjoyed this read!

Can’t wait for more!

Sweet, sexy, and hawt

MariaLisa has done it again. I hoped for more after Out Bad. I wanted to know how MC life and triad could work. I needed to see how Twisted and Yousa were. I got all of my questions answered and more. So hot. So sweet. So sexy. Can't wait until Retro's story is out. Love this woman's work.

I'm really struggling with this review because I have read and loved the first two books in this series but to me this book fell flat. Not that the writing wasn't good, because it was. I realize that this is Wrench, PoBoy and Chrissy's story and about their attempt to gain their happily ever after as a trio, but there is also a story within this story that could have been paid a little more attention to...maybe. For me, it seemed that the majority of the book was spent with the three of them in bed (or not necessarily in the bed), which those scenes were incredibly written, but it's like it was the main course and not the dessert. I eagerly waited for the meetings with the MC and when I got to what I wanted, it was quick and over and back to the bedroom. It was like they weren't capable of having a discussion about their relationship; where they wanted to go from this point, without spilling out of their clothes and the discussion was long forgotten..or tabled for another time which sometimes played out in one of the guy's heads. And between the guys, at one point I had a trouble figuring out who had the problem to begin with. But that could have been on me. I loved meeting these three in the last book and really looked forward to seeing them with their own story, but I got to see a little too much of them inside the bedroom and not inside of the club.

I do see where the meetings at the club could very well be setting up the story line for the next book and can't wait to see if I am right because from what I could tell, this one should be good and trouble is headed their way. I am also curious to see how Chrissy's brother-in-law handles her living situation. Should be interesting as well.

I gave this book 4 stars because despite my personal feelings regarding the amount of steamy scenes, it was well written and the characters were wonderfully well defined, even if they are a bit confused..well except for Chrissy, she has the best of both worlds! But I would have liked to have more club interaction, more personal interaction between the two male leads that would have allowed us to get inside of their heads. I thought it was a good start at the beginning with Ty and Lewis talking, but these two seem to have a lot on their minds that they do not express with each other. The problem is between the two men, not the three as a whole. I hoped that they would have figured everything out by the end of this book, but nope. Then there was that last statement that made me think, "you're just now saying this!". I don't think that this is the end of their story and I can see it carrying over to the next book. I hope they are able to resolve things, or maybe this "test" will push them to their limits. We shall see!

If you are like me and couldn’t get enough of Po’Boy, then Shelter My Heart gives you more of this wonderful character and the two people that own his heart and soothe his soul. This glimpse into life for this triad is emotional and full of proof of why these three were made for each other. Revelations, declarations and selfless acts is what this story is all about. Don’t get me wrong it still has the sass and the sizzling heat that only Po’Boy, Wrench and Crissy can bring us, but there is so much heartwarming affection packed into this book that your heart will be on overload. Sometimes characters are born from words that will forever live under your skin and for me it is Po’Boy, so glad you found your happiness Big Man.

I am totally loving the relationship these three have it can't be just two of them no it has to be the three because that is how their hearts work.
Po'boy is I'm a different MC than Wrench and that causes a problem Crissy just wants her men both of them the two men need to work some things out on their own so they can be there for their Crissy
The love between Wrench and Po'boy is so strong and the love between all three is even stronger sometimes you just have to give up control plus Po'boy is not going to put his lives on the backburner

Wow I love surprises and this one did not disappoint at all. I couldn't put it down. It cleared a few things up and showed how much PoBoy, Chrissy and Wrench mean to each other and the love they share. The ending was a bit of a surprise so I can't wait to see what happens next.

Good addition to the previous book

I like the way this booksellers the loose ends and questions that may have remained from the previous book. This book should be seen as an extension of Treading The Traitor's Path. It Is not a stand alone.

Wow. How this got worse is beyond me. Chrissy had zero chapters in this. It was all Lewis and Ty. The love scene's were all their feels and eye contact. Chrissy's just there like background music. This was one of the most unbalanced MMFs I've ever read. Seriously not sure what this author was attempting, but there was nothing sexy about this. Just smut. Lewis and Ty's loving devotion towards one another. Deep conversations. Chrissy asking if she can join them?! WTF? Their dialogue proved everything. They always tacked on at the end of their conversations "and Chrissy." Let's not forget about her. Lewis constantly reminding Ty she's there and to show her love. They just got Chrissy off so they could explore each other more. Like let's finish with her so we have more time for us. That's just how I understood it. Lewis said he was more partial to sucking off Ty. Ty said he liked having only the taste of Lewis in his mouth. It was his lightbulb moment. So basically Chrissy was a blow-up sex doll. That's all I got from this. Visual only. Oh, and a surrogate now. Chrissy's future looks bleak. While these two guy's will be sexing each other up with all the feels, Chrissy will be taking care of the house and kids. So they'll basically get a nanny for free. And this is why authors should stop writing MMF and stick to MF, MM, and FF. I'm completely dumbfounded how women can read this and think what a great romance. My cheating romances were less offensive than this. This book was like emotional cheating though because of their inner monologues. Ty and Lewis loved each other more. No one can convince me other wise. Chrissy girl you missed all the red flags of being a third wheel. The author keeps telling us they like her instead of actually showing us and giving her an actual voice.

Sorry for the bad review. I could've skipped this and went to book 4 which I should have done because I know my preferences and I should've known. My fault. 😳

One last thing I wanted to mention. I get what the author was trying to write. About the acceptance from their clubs them being together and about homophobia etc. But maybe she should have just left it Lewis and Ty's love story. Chrissy's character brought absolutely nothing to the table and the author didn't even give her character respect enough to add any depth to her. It still goes back to her being a blow-up doll or cardboard cutout 🤷

I really like the Neither This nor That series. MariaLisa deMora has a unique writing style that makes the characters seem to come to life and the words feel like the story is unfolding right in front of you. I fell in love with Po’boy, Wrench and Crissy in prior books and their unique love triangle. Shelter My Heart gives us a much deeper look into their story.

This story is a quick read that is full of Scorching Hot scenes. The author has given us an up close and personal look at their struggles and lifestyle and in true MariaLisa deMora style these moments are very well written, vividly hot and just yummy. For that I say Kudos for a job well done. For me the only drawback to the storyline was I would of liked a little more MC action. BUT in saying that, I can also see where this is book is probably leading up into the next book with more of the MC storyline behind it (sorry I don’t do spoilers so that the best way I can term that). Either way, I enjoyed Shelter My Heart and I highly recommend reading the Neither This nor That series if you have not, you won’t be disappointed. 2 Thumbs Up!!!

Po'boy, Tyler, Crissy Continued

When I started on this series I had a hard time getting into it and understanding what was going on. But by middle of first book I fell for these characters. I love Twisted and Po'boy the journey they began so long ago. A hard, painful journey but life finally got good for Twisted in previous book, and now Po'boy is finding his happy in this triad he entered into with Ty and Crissy.

3.5 Stars. This short novella is almost all sex. Some plot points move the overall arc of the series forward but also change the dynamic of the series and is a little bittersweet. Mostly this is all sex and focuses a lot on the relationship with Po'boy and Wrench. Because Po'boy and Wrench have so much in common, without a lot of insight into their relationship, it will be hard to make Chrissy ever seem equal, in my opinion. Chrissy felt more like a (dearly loved) prop in this book, which is sad but okay with me, I'm more invested in the the politics and dynamic between Po'boy and Wrench, their clubs and friends, at this point.

Also, more kudos for the dirty talk and clear sex scenes.

This is the first 3 star I've given to any of MLD's books. I'm not sure why but this one didn't do much for me. I'm thinking it may be because I just finished re reading #2 which was about Po'Boy, Wrench & Crissie so it was like a continuation - didn't need another book. This one didn't have much to it other than a lot of sex, which is great but just wasn't into it this round. There were good points - the relationship getting stronger. The sacrifices they have to make. It's hard enough navigating a relationship with one other person - with 2 it can get interesting to say the least.

Love comes in threes

When three peoples feelings are involved the road to love is very rocky. Especially when two different MC's are involved. No cliffhanger and hea. Good series.

Love these guys!

I loved getting farther into Lewis, Try, and Crissy's story. Seeing their relationship grow and gel. Watching them learn how to tread their own path. Great story!!!
