Live to Thrive by Amir Rad is much more than a book about positive thinking and positive lifestyle changes. It focuses wholly on a reader’s dream of “a better self and a better life.” Rather than the author telling readers what they must do to improve themselves, Rad takes readers on personal journeys, encouraging and validating their unique steps needed in order to reach individualized goals. Moreover, the author teaches ways to develop an entrepreneurial mindset which surpasses positive thinking or visioning one’s way to success. It is a personalized, proven track record of action that spills over into every aspect of a person’s life.

For instance, Rad states that “thinking something is impossible is a form of fear.” The author asks: what do you want in life? Thinking you can’t have it or it isn’t possible to attain is the first self-created barrier to fulfilling a dream. As the book continues, Rad shows readers ways to overcome their fears and develop confidence by ending procrastination and taking risks. Amir teaches how to find the “self” underlying one’s personal motivation, and how to become the best at living a self-created life.

The author is authentic and tells of his struggles with having to overcome his own rut of addiction and poor life choices. He also includes stories from clients who hit bottom with capsized self-esteem and rose to become their better selves. Rad offers a positive mantra that includes encouraging steps to overcome anything. Live to Thrive, without being judegmental or overly trendy, is an in-depth book of inspiration for a richer and happier life on all levels.

This is a wonderful guide. It has a lot of incredibly good ideas that, if implemented, could actually change your life for the better. I voluntarily read and reviewed this book in exchange for a free copy.
