Could've used a wee bit more detail, but it's a nice overview.

Fun wilderness skills book. Would be great for young people. Parent child trips into the wilderness. Also strong survival skills info if ever stranded. If you’ve ever watched survival shows on discovery channel some of this bush craft will be familiar. Not so much of a narrative story as is a reference guide to outdoor survival skills - a Merck Manual is to medicine so to speak for the Outdoors. Not a wildernesses medicine book at all but a book that is full of how to and assessments finding resources in the outback and making the most of it.

Slightly-bigger-than-pocket sized hard cover book I will carry with me when I go on a long hiking trip. Maybe there is a paperback that would weigh less. In any case, I enjoyed the brief, basic tips on everything from cutting tools to trapping to making fire to basket weaving.
