It was not as interesting to me as many other LitRPG books I've read, but it was good enough to keep me reading to the end, so I guess it can't be too bad. If you've read other books by this author, and liked them, it's likely this one will work for you just fine. I'm not sure if I've read anything from this author before or not, but to be perfectly honest, this one did not impress me. It works though, the main character appeared to be heading in a completely different direction before the title manefested, then things turned around for the main character, though he did tend to cling to his old ways anyway. This made for a story that worked, but certainly could have worked a whole lot better if the main character had embraced his new found skills. Nonethless, I didn't have to struggle to get through it, so again, it deserves praise for not going off the rails when it easily could have done so. Here's hoping the next one in the series is a bit more topical, and more interesting to read.
Another absolutely fantastic read it kept the pace of the first one and the strong character progression both in the character's personality along with the power level. The simple fact that the author is able to pull you in throughout the entire story without parts dragging out for no reason is amazing. I can safely say you will want to have the third book already because you will want to start it right after the end of book 2 its just that good.
Loved it more than the first one. I was so happy at the meeting up between father and son and was crying during the last fight. I'm looking forward to the third book in the series. I received a free code to listen to the audiobook and didn't want to stop listening.
