A Home for Noel

Rate this book
When love is stretched beyond understanding…
Noel Miracle considered herself blessed that the Wellings family welcomed her into their lives. They were the only source of happiness she had known throughout her childhood.
A special bond broken by youths foolishness…
Naive and blinded by her young teenage heart, Noel falls for her best friend Jesse Wellings. His betrayal is enough to send her running from their hometown the moment they graduate high school.
Unfortunate circumstances reopen old wounds…
Mrs. Wellings, the woman who practically raised Noel, has fallen ill and wants Noel home for the holidays. Unable to refuse the woman whom she loves dearly–Noel goes home.
Heartache time clings to like an old friend…
Running into Jesse Wellings was slightly less pleasant than a punch to the gut. Time had done nothing but good things to her old friend. Not only was he an amazing artist with his own successful gallery, he was more handsome than when she last saw him. Could she make it through the holidays without her heart falling for Jesse all over or would she run, abandoning those she cared about once again?
A Home for Noel is a sweet Romance filled with love, laughter, and a little Christmas magic.

First, I want to thank Rachel Lopez for providing me with this book so I may bring you this review.

A Home for Noel by Rachel Lopez is the perfect Christmas book that was written like it should be a manuscript for a Hallmark Channel Movie. In fact, this book has all the elements to be a Hallmark movie that I highly suggest that the author submit this to the station for consideration. This book made me smile and love in my heart from the beginning to the end.

Kuddos to the graphic designer on the cover as they did a beautiful job capturing the Jesse and Noel and the town. The title of the book and the cover really grasped the concept of he book.

Rachel dedicates this book to anyone who has been a beacon of those in need. Your choice to give selflessly matters, and you change lives.

A few things I picked up when I was reading this is Rachel has a heart of gold. She is passionate and compassionate about her characters. She puts her all into her storylines where she is an incredible storyteller. You could tell by reading this story that she was writing this from her heart.

I loved how the story starts out where you get to know the family and Noel when the kids were younger. You learn about the bond that Jesse and Noel have. The toxic relationship she has with her own parents. Then the story fast forwards to present day when they are grown. It has been some years. You learn how things have changed. Lots of ups and downs. Some good and some not so good.

There are a lot of flashbacks to when Jesse and Noel were kids. Gives you an inside look of what happened back then to where they are now.

What blew me away about Jesse character in then beginning of the book he drew really well and Noel was blown away by it. Now in the present he has a fancy art studio and he is an artist. Rachel is sending a message to never give up your dream that you are passionate about. One day that dream can become a reality-just like Jesse.

Rachel has a gift for writing in this genre. I hope she continues to write more Christmas Books like this one in the future. I would love to read and review for her again.

Such a cute, sweet story with some very heart wrenching parts in it. And then there's a character I sooo wanted to smack into next week. And the main male character sounds okay. But he needs to get a reality check, because Noel doesn't need him, if he's going to act like an overgrown man child. Woo got that outta my system. Okay great story, and plot. Loved the the dynamics with the different characters in this novel. No backtracking needed.
It's been years since Noel stepped foot in her old town. Due to unforeseen circumstances she decided to leave and not return unless she was really needed. That day came when her extended family (her ex bestfriend parent's) called her in for a favor. And she couldn't refuse, because she loves them more than anything for the things they've done for her. But with coming back to town. Who will she run into and how will this all plan out with what she wants to do. Her heart has already been broken once, and she won't stand for another one if she can help it.

I love the friendship that Noel & Jesse had as kids. Jesse has great parents and their actions toward Noel are very touching. Noel & Jesse as adults seem to still have the friendship bond but it's definitely suffered some damage. I didn't really like how Jesse treated Noel but loved reading their flashbacks to the past. I was torn though because it seemed like Noel and Jesse couldn't communicate well but mainly because Jesse did a good job convincing me that he didn't want to be in a relationship with Noel. A little Christmas magic, saves the day and they seem happy for a chance to forgive and move on to rekindle. I received a free copy without obligation and am voluntarily reviewing.

A really sweet story about love and second chances...
Although I generally don't read holiday-themed books, I must say that I really enjoyed reading this one. It was much more than just a happy Christmas story. Ms. Lopez has included a lot of themes in this book - the impact of child neglect, the importance of a loving home, the effects of peer pressure, the need for second chances, rekindling friendships, and the importance of forgiveness. I found it to be a very enjoyable read and would recommend it on many levels. Looking forward to reading more of this author's work!

Second chance romance about childhood best friends who parted ways in a not so nice way. Noel had a rough living situation at home with alcoholic parents who fought all the time, her salvation were the Wellings. She fell for her best friend Jesse but after hearing him talking to others behind her back she runs away, now time and circumstances bring them together.
I'm voluntarily reviewing this after receiving a free copy.

This was a wonderful holiday romance read. I really enjoyed it. It is very sweet and poignant. It tugged on my heartstrings and kept a hold of them. I loved the main characters and their story. I think they were both a bit stubborn for a good portion of the story, which I got on some level but somethings got to give...and I am glad it did. I would definitely pick another book up by her. I would highly recommend this book and author to others especially if they enjoy a good holiday romance.

Noel Miracle was taken in by the Wellings family and she fell in love with their son Jesse Wellings. A misunderstanding tore them apart just after high school, but she is back now as Jana the woman who raised her is sick and wants Noel home for the Christmas season. I enjoyed reading as Noel and Jesse get their second chance. I know I will be rereading this story. I received an Arc of this book and I am voluntarily reviewing it.
