On the night before Christmas Eve, Quincy, the brave little boy doll, comes to life and sets out alone on a difficult journey to save the lives of the reject toys who lie discarded in the toyshop basement. Climbing stairs as huge as to him as massive mountains and facing many unexpected enemies, Quincy must reach Santa Claus on the top floor before he becomes a toy again the next morning.
Tommy Steele (born Thomas William Hicks) became known in the 1950s as a teen idol, Britian's answer to Elvis Presley. He later wrote the war novel "The Final Run" and the children's book "Quincy", which was also turned into a film.
