Comprises the continuation of Mieder's (German and folklore, U. of Vermont) three previous volumes (1982, 1990, and 1993) registering the paremiological and phraseological publications from around the world that have appeared during the past two centuries. Each bibliographical reference is followed by one or two lines of alphabetically arranged key words—generally about six to fourteen terms.
