With a $15 million super-yacht ablaze on the Thames and a tortured body upon it, young lawyer David Kilkenny, run out of the police force for exposing corruption, has the chance to make his name. Surprisingly, the main opposition comes from his enigmatic client, Sebastian Santos. Mercurial entrepreneur, money launderer or the most softly spoken, coldly cruel murderer to come before the courts? But to take down his client, he must also take down Santos' financier - David's own brother, Francis.
Sorry, Dexter, much as I hate to give up on a book, I had to give up on this one. I thought I had found a new author I would love, but somehow, your story didn't grip me. Perhaps too much was left unsaid. What I read lacked pace. I would love to know how others rate this book and realise it could just be me and not this story.
Power Of Attorney was a real page turner. The story was just great. The pace and the level of suspense were totally in sync. I'm looking forward to reading more of Dias' books.
