Mediocrity Maybe?

This was a nice story about two Christians who were teenage lovers and married. They lost a baby which was so sad and then they divorced because they lost sight of what real life meant. They met five years later and fall in love again with the help of a deceased Grandfather and it shall unicorns and rainbows and very sweet. No nasty lusty scenes or thoughts just a middle of the road fade to black, mouth closed kisses and romance. They were apart five years and the heroine never really loved on. He said he just broke it off with someone but it never said whether he was celibate or not. I hate that. The word sex wasn't even in the novel at all. I checked. That did not bother me but I wanted him to say he never was with anyone else. Simple statement that would have made this novel five glorious stars! I know I am a freak and this is a Christian novel so sex without marriage is usually totally frowned upon in that establishment but I still want to hear it. Out loud and proud and totally clarified. It wasn't so I took away two points! Okay one was for Flynn but the second was definitely for him verification. I really hate that. This was a totally unexciting middle of the road romance but I finished it. The author writes well but I just hate unanswered questions. I want to know if they are true to each other. Even apart. I know, I have issues but still....

3 ⭐⭐⭐ - OK decent reads.
=======================
Couple divorced for 5 years is reunited after the death of his grandfather.
She never moved on, he had other relationships and ended one before grandfather's death. Sex is not mentioned. So it is not clear.
I enjoyed reading the story and hooked my attention.
In several moments I was touched and I was moved. A good story.

A Beautiful Romance

This was a beautiful romance about second chances.
I loved the storyline and the amazing characters.
It is always nice to read books set in my home state of Texas.
What is funny is reading about 60 degrees fall temperatures in North Texas, while I am snuggled up reading expecting 20 degree temperature fall weather in the same area.
This book is recommended for those who love sweet romance.

I enjoyed this book.

I liked both Cora and Gray. Thought the story flowed pretty well. Good story. Some cute and sweet parts mixed in with some sad and frustrating parts but it seemed pretty balanced. The tension, miscommunication and misunderstandings were real and I liked how they were overcome. Overall a good sweet story that I was entertained by.

I wasn't sure if I was going to like this book or not when I started it. But I did. It was clean and sweet. Except for the older brother who had some major issues that really confused me. (I never understood why he acted like he did.) There were some kisses, but they were all sweet and nothing really descriptive. I did like that they learned to communicate.
There wasn't a lot of "Christian" in this book. Sure they prayed now and then, but it was mostly for safety and that they didn't make a mistake in the trip, never really about getting back together, and there was zero mention of the Bible, reading the Bible, studying it, or anything.

What a beautifully written, easy to read story! I loved every moment of it. The book shows how a marriage based on love, but dissolved by hurt and lack of communication still has the potential of mending if both parties are willing to be sorry, and honestly talk things out. Grey and Cora have had their share of problems, but their love never died. Can they make it with a second chance? Are they both willing to try? I received a complimentary copy of this book, and I have chosen to give an honest review on my own

Cora and Grey are still so much in love. The author did a great job of making me love this couple and rooting for them. I don't like when a couple is still in love, are apart for a long time, and move on. That is not the case. A great story of forgiveness and communicating and moving on but with each other. Flynn was the only irritant and I really didn't understand him. I loved reading about Cora and Grey and reading about their past - sad - and seeing them work things out - as well as their future. This is one I will keep and read again.

Grey and Cora divorced 5 years ago. They haven’t seen or spoken to each other since. However, Greys grandfather has just died and, as a final request, has asked for the whole family - including Cora - to go to a family chalet for a weekend. Cue snowstorms, angry family members and a whole heap of hurt which has to be dealt with. This is done in a sensitive and moving manner. Another great book from this author.

Warm and cuddly

This was a new twist on second chance love for me. The author weaved a tale so beautiful and realistic I thought of the story long after the last page. The pace of this novel seemed slower compared to others I've recently read, but that didn't distract from story. I appreciated that the passions were clean and didn't leave me blushing. On a steaminess level I would rate this a pleasant PG.

Wonderful Read

I love reading second chance love stories. But more than that, I appreciate how the author brought alive the characters and made you feel like you were right there with them. When God is in control, you know He knows what is best for everyone.

Enjoyed this story of Cora and Grey. They are ex's, but because of Grey's grandfather, they spend time together for a weekend. Can they still love each other after all this time? Please read this book. You won't be disappointed.

This story really pulled at my heartstrings! Cora and Grey loved each other from a young age, got married, then divorced 5 years ago. Now they are around each other for a weekend and many things come into light of what went wrong in their marriage.
I felt like a huge factor in their divorce was the fact that Cora grew up with such a dysfunctional/emotionally absent family that she didn't know what normal was or how to resolve issues. Throw in a horrible event and that was the final straw in breaking them apart. Thankfully, they decide to give friendship a second chance and see how they get along from there.
I received a copy of this book from the author. It did not effect my review in any way.

Melanie's books are fairly short, but don't let that fool you. They contain some very awesome messages and applicable life lessons. this book reinforces to me just how very important it is to honestly communicate with one another in our relationships and marriages. One seemingly small miscommunication can upset the entire fabric of a relationship if we aren't careful, and that's what I took from this book. Also, if we're willing to work together, God can work in our midst and even allow us a second chance if we're willing to work with Him and each other. thank you so much, Melanie! I can't wait to read Dare's story!

Loved it!

This is such a good story, filled with the hope of finding one's way back to a true love. Grey and Cora divorced after being sweethearts since high school. Her awful parents were no fit example to help her cope with life's difficulties. His brother's attitude didn't help either. A weekend to honor an elder brings them back together for the first time in five years. Their reunion is witnessed by everyone they hold dear, secretly rooting for them. A beautifully written story that shows a family of faith giving thanks to our creator for all He provides, even when we are too afraid to believe we deserve it.

A new Author for me this is a lovely story of a second chance for two people who did not know how to communicate so their marriage broke up. Now because of a last wish, they are coming together again watching their story unfold kept me turning pages. I read a copy of this book through KU and I am voluntarily reviewing it.

I purchased a copy of the novel Second Chance With You book 6:I Still Do by Melanie D. Snitker and this review was given freely.
Poignant with lots of family drama, some injuries, cute kids and of course a happy ending. ER Nurse Cora is reunited with her ex-husband Grey and his family at the Aspen, Colorado cabin where they all meet to honor his grandfather's last request.

Melanie has given us another sweet, heartfelt story. The characters are very likable and the emotions can be felt. I've read most of the books by this author and rated all 4-5 stars. They are that good.

Love second chances

I loved this sweet story. Mostly, because it is my story. Forgiveness and letting go of past hurts is not the norm in our society. Having God at the center makes all the difference.

a treasure

I savored this book for a couple of weeks. I didn’t want to get to the end. I found the story compelling and realistic. I hope others who divorce will consider rejoining. Communication is hard but is necessary for a strong relationship to endure.
