I consider this book the authority on project management using earned value management. Earned value is an often misunderstood discipline that incorporates a plethora of inputs and quality controls. But prediction and feedback on a project are necessary for successful completion, and earned value provides the ability to predict, deliver, and obtain performance feedback.
This book explains the intricacies of earned value, and the various inputs and quality metrics that enable performance measurement. It is also the book that I use to teach earned value in a project management bachelors program. I would highly recommend the book to anyone that is serious about planning, performance measurement, and the resulting risk reduction in projects.
