This textbook is very hard to understand. The definitions and the explanations are not clear and the examples provided are always more confusing then helpful! I learn using videos, this textbook is a waste of money!
My favorite textbook from school in my senior year. Chemistry was in fact, my favorite subject, so having this textbook provided me with the fun challenge of obtaining knowledge I signed up for. The accompanying workbook encouraged students to consider the value and concepts of the text, not just copy sections down. Answers were not simply given, but required thought to obtain. Several great charts, graphs, and images help students understand exactly what is being taught as well as provide mind hooks for memorization. I will never forget many of the interesting things I learned from this book and would highly recommend it to any student interested in taking a high school chemistry course.
