First thing you'll notice is the pretty illustrations in this book, and the characters' expressions are wonderful.
The story is told by the little girl in the book. Her nanny sent her an invitation to her kitchen party, which is one way to enjoy a party in Newfoundland, Canada. The girl dressed up in her party dress and favourite shoes and went to her nanny's house, but when she got there she found animals playing instruments!
This turns out to be a beautiful counting book, with some rhyme and various words to express what the girl thinks her nanny will feel when she discovers the animals in her kitchen.
Fun story with a cute ending.

Such a fun, silly read! Upon arriving at her grandmother's for a kitchen party a girl discovers party crashing animals all over the house but her Nanny is nowhere to be found. With rhythmic narration, cute illustrations, and lots of animal friends it's a kitchen party like no other! My kids and I really enjoyed this one!
