I really enjoyed this book by R.S. Lively,,, was another bullseye in my opinion,,,,,,
Carter Bishop grew up in an orphanarium in New York, Hell's Kitchen at St. Agatha's Home for Children, he was dropped off at the age of 10 because his parents were tired of being parents and really just wanted to be free and party,,, but he was pretty much the king of the home, no other kids did anything to anyone else without Carter's approval and there, he saves a newbie named Mason from getting beat up by another boy,,,, Mason and his little sister Darby have been dropped off after their parent's death and waiting for their aunt and uncle to come and pick them up, at 18 he leaves and starts working for a guy named "Pops" doing all sorts of different things,,,, later Carter starts "Bishop Financial",,,, a very successful business, and one day he sees someone very familiar,,, that red hair and those eyes,,,, it can't be,,, but it is,,,, Darby White,,,, and he really would like to see her again, alone,,,, but, Mason has a thing or 2 to say about that,,, which will effect their relationship,,,,,
Darby White's parents died, she went to the orphanarium with her brother after her parents died and then they went to live with their well off aunt and uncle, her brother, Mason takes that and runs with it, he becomes a lawyer and then he climbs the ladder further and started throwing his weight around and threatened Carter, who, in turn, left Darby and then, on an off chance, they find each other again,,,,,
This was the perfect, second chance book, if I've ever read one,,,, I laughed, I was intrigued, I didn't want the book to end,,,, but it was definitely the HEA we all know and love,,,,, the suspense, the hot steam,,,, all of it was a great read,,,, I would so totally recommend this book to anyone,,,, !!!
I got this ARC voluntarily to do an honest review
