Dans ce livre de Monod, j'ai lu les plus précieuses réflexions sur la souffrance.

Ce livre est une compilation des dernières méditations, derniers regrets et des exhortations du pasteur Adolphe Monod, sur son lit de mort. Mon exemplaire en est tout souligné, marqué tant il y a de perles dans ces quelques pages.

Je retiens en particulier :

I. L'utilité de la souffrance, j'y reviendrai sur mon blog
II. L'importance de la Saint Cène pour nous affermir dans l'assurance, en particulier lorsque nous la célébrons souvent
III. Seul ce qui est fait pour Christ vaut la peine ici bas. Car tout passe, bientôt nous serons poussière. Mais ce qui est fait pour Christ reste.

Moins impactant que quand je l'ai lu pour la première fois il y a trois ans, mais toujours aussi bon.

My low expectations were confounded. This is rich theology, winsomely presented. Monod's story is a lesson in itself. Glad I followed up my sister-in-law's recommendation.
