This is a great addition to devotions. Two pages for each verse you want to map out. Headings include:
My memory verse for today; this verse is important to remember because; what it means to my faith, how it applies to my life, knowing this verse will be helpful when; my prayer for today. And there is verse on each the page and a plate to date it.

The Scripture Memory Map for Women created by Barbour Publishing Staff is a welcome creative journal for memorizing scriptures. There are two pages to record the Date, My Memory Verse for Today, This Verse is Important to Remember Because, What It Means to My Faith, How It Applies to my Life, Knowing This Verse Will Be Helpful When, My Prayer for Today and a scripture verse at the bottom of the second page. There are several lines under each section for the user to write their personal thoughts and goals for memorizing that particular verse.
This creative journal is spiral bound with a beautiful cover that should is appealing to pick up and use. I appreciate Barbour staff including Great Scriptures to Memorize at the back of the book. This book was created to help women build a healthy spiritual habit of memorizing Biblical scriptures with the size being appropriate to carry in your purse or Bible case. The Scripture Memory Map for Women will make a wonderful gift to give to new converts and seasoned Christians who wants to go deeper with studying God’s Word through memorization of verses. I wasn’t sure what to expect with this creative journal but I love it! It’s perfect for ‘mapping out’ whichever verse I want to memorize while prompting deeper thought as to why the particular verse is relevant in my life right now. This is a great way to meditate on a verse. I find the prompt “Knowing this verse will be helpful when” really causes me to be honest with myself because I have to write it down. Seeing my answer in print makes a huge difference for me. Add to that the spiral binding and pretty illustrations and it’s a winner!

This is a lovely book that can fit easily into your purse, tucked into your car, or on your bedside table. I like the idea of marking significant times when a specific Scripture has spoken to you in a keepsake like this journal. It reminds you why a Bible verse is important to remember and how it impacted your faith. It is wonderful to go back and recall moments when God reached out to you and your situation with His Word and it met you where you were.
In the back of the book is a section of "Great Scriptures to Memorize." This is a helpful list if you don't know where to start digging into God's Word. A verse could be looked up daily and meditated on as a way to strengthen your faith. I suppose the way this journal would be used for Scripture memory is to continually look through the pages and speak the Bible verses aloud until they are ingrained into your mind and heart. Either the verses you are writing in or the ones that are provided at the bottom of each page would be great ways to get God's Word into your heart.
I think this would be a lovely book to keep yourself or give as a gift to a woman you know that loves to journal. It is a resource that can be kept and referred to for years to come.

I love journals of all shapes, sizes, and themes. I always have. As a child I created journals from spiral notebooks, loose-leaf paper, and even typing paper. I suppose it is the creative aspect that I gravitate toward, for it doesn’t even matter what the purpose is (to me.)
Although The Scripture Memory Map for Women was created to aid in Scripture memorization, I’ve found this hasn’t become my main focus. Writing down verses I’ve memorized and why they are important to me doesn’t motivate me or get my creative juices flowing. I prefer to use it more as a record of my thoughts as I’m inspired or touched by a particular passage, rather than a memorization log. That’s just me, though. To each his own, I suppose.

The Scripture Memory Map for Women created by the Staff Barbour Publishing is a whimsical spiral journal that I love! It is great for seasoned or new journaling lovers and is an excellent tool for memorizing scripture.
This creative journal has two pages to record Date, My Memory, This Verse is Important to Remember Because, What It Means to My Faith, How It Applies to my Life, Knowing This Verse Will Be Helpful When, My Prayer for Today and a scripture at the bottom. I'm always on the lookout for journals or devotionals that will help me in my walk with the Lord.
So when I was offered this small book, The Scripture Memory MAP for women, I jumped at the chance to use it.
Each section consists of two pages...there is a place at the top of the left hand page for the date, then a square for My Memory Verse For Today, Then a place for This Verse is important to Remember Because and enough space for you to write, Then What It Means To My Faith, Then onto the second page where there is space to write How It Applies To My Life, Then a square for Knowing This Verse Will Be Helpful When, and lastly My Prayer For Today and a space to write your prayer.
There are colorful hearts, butterflies and arrows that point you show you which way to go. Thus creating a type of map.
The creative part comes when you write in the sections. 😊
There are verses at the end of each section.

There are so many reasons to love this book! The spiral binding and the beautiful paperback cover make it both attractive and convenient to use; colorful illustrations are scattered throughout the 176 pages; and 145 suggested Bible scriptures are listed to help get you started on your journey. I especially liked that there are two pages devoted to each journal entry and that there is ample space to record: Date; My Memory Verse For Today; This Verse Is Important To Remember Because...; What It Means To My Faith; How It Applies To My Life; Knowing The Verse Will Be Helpful When...; and My Prayer For Today. To tie it all together, there is another Bible verse to end each of these dated entries.

I love this book so much I purchased an extra for a friend who is studying with me. If you like some structure to help keep you on track, the daily (or weekly, etc...) pages are perfect for that. It has a place for your verse, and other spaces for reminders of why it's important and how it pertains to you, as well as a space to write a short prayer. This journal keeps it all in one place and is small enough to tuck in your purse. Or keep it with your Bible. I like to go back after I've memorized a verse, to review what I wrote, and everything is right there for me to look at later.

This is a great accompaniment to your daily devotions or Bible study. It has a daily place to write a memory verse ....why it is important to remember....what it means to your faith...how it applies to your life...why it is helpful...and my prayer for today. It makes you think on the verse you chose and how it applies to your life. I love that is spiral bound so you don’t break the binding. Would make a wonderful gift. I found it useful and thought provoking.

I had the opportunity to review The Scripture Memory Map for Women. What a great journaling book. It’s easily laid out so non intimidating for beginners; yet has depth where a person could make it her own for those who have more experience with journaling and memorization.

I really liked this journal and the idea of just adding 3 -5 minutes to a devotional or if you missed ypur daily time in the word, this is a great way to take a quick dip into scripture.
I only wish that the scripture list in the back had been written out in each day as well.
I like a book or journal to have everything at my fingertips.

Would make a nice gift.
This is a nice little spiral bound journal. It's great for the person who loves to journal about scripture, their faith and prayer life. I will be gifting this to my big sister. It's perfect for her. It's a great tool for memorizing verses.
