Michaela McKnight, a prominent Divorce Attorney in D.C., had only known love to break her apart until she met—and marry—Zachary, who promised to put her back together. Newly married, and enjoying motherhood, she had a perfect life—to anyone looking in from the outside. But when an adversary initiates a perfect plan to bring her happily ever after to the ground, Michaela begins to question if love is any match for revenge. Will Michaela survive the wrath of the scorned? An abrupt move to the south took Kennedie Spencer away from a devastating past. Now back in D.C., her southern upbringing and meeting Windsor changed the look of love. She had put her career on hold, gotten married, and had a child before she realized Windsor was ten miles of bad road. The lesson that love did not love anyone was learned the hard way, and she had her mother to thank for that. When news of her husband’s infidelity shows up at her front door, Kennedie must decide if she has the energy for one more fight. Will she surrender, or will she battle to keep everything she’s sacrificed to have?

Relationship: a state of affairs existing between those having relations or dealings.
Everyday we have relationships with various people. Our relationships include our spouses, families, co-workers and friends. In any relationship the one thing that make it work is trust. If you can't trust the people who you interact with on a daily basis it makes for a very strained situation. Some can be fixed and some fall apart. We have to figure out what is indispensable and what is not worth the trouble.
Kennedie and Winsor Oliver had a great marriage. They were deeply in love and had a handsome son Tanner to prove their love for each other. Kennedie was raised by her grandmother and that gave her a kind heart. Even though Kennedie had a rough start in life with her mother she still persevered. One bright day upon returning home, Kennedie had the rug snatched right from under her feet and her life started to spiral. How had she missed this? Could this be possible? What will she do from here? Will this darkness last forever or will she make it through this trial?
Michaela and Zachary McKnight marriage just ok. It wasn't for lack of trying but something just wasn't there. You think back to a time when you looked at each other and all you saw was love but now you are trying to figure out what happened. Is there a certain event that makes your love start to dwindle or is it just time? How do you know when to say when? How do you react when you realize that the person that you love has betrayed you? Do you try to make it through the storm or do you throw you hands up in the air?
It Ain't The Coffee That's Bitter is a book about trust in relationships. Not just marriages but family relationships where they have been tried and tested. These stories are about everyday people just living their lives but that's what make it a good read. These characters are very relatable and you might see your lives in theirs. The story flows with such an ease that it makes it easy to continue on to the end. I applaud Clarke for touching on taboo subjects to show us that healing is obtainable. Thank you Kristofer!
