After awaking one morning and discovering that his stripes are missing, stately and dignified General MacTiger must strike a bargain with the python that hijacked them
This is one of my favourite book. It's so simple, a little funny, has fine moral and Brian Perkins, who reads in in the audio version has just the most comforting voice in the world.
This is a story about a tiger who must find ways to barter and ask favors of various animals in turn in order to get his stripes back. The illustrations are great, but the narrative seems a bit long. Perhaps I was just tired, but the story seemed to drag on. Our oldest loved it, however. She borrowed this book from her elementary school library and since she read it first to herself, she was excited for me to read the story, too.
